RE: Match Thread - Hull City - Statesideowl - 28-05-2016 Well We lost, so I don't expect to be insulted by Stairs & co until we have the money to match their BS. Cuz lets face it. Who were most of this EPL when we were about ![]() Offf ghoulishly into the night we go. See you soon you fake plastic boys club of southerners. Playing, just planning. Maybe next year? Who's who and whoms who. As long as they're all southern,. Ciao RE: Match Thread - Hull City - St Charles Owl - 29-05-2016 Just got back. Great atmosphere and turnout from the Wednesday fans, shame the team just didn't turn up. We lost that game in midfield, lost count of the number of second balls we didn't win and we left some huge gaps in midfield all game. Hooper was anonymous most of the game and even Forestieri wasn't sharp enough. Just didn't seem to get going!! Hull fans were crap, hardly sang much at all and only really made any noise when they scored. They were the best team on the day scored a great goal to win the game but their fans seemed down in the dumps all day. Spoke to a few after the game and they feared that winning today would just paper over the cracks at the club and they really want rid of their owner who's new ticket scheme is causing a lot of anger from the fans. One Hull fan said to me it was amazing to watch 45,000 Wednesday fans bouncing in the second half, he was very impressed with our fans but as was said earlier, it's not fans who win games!!! On the whole, well worth the money, a great experience and you could see the signs in the club and fans that we are on the up, this is just another step towards our ultimate goal next season!!! RE: Match Thread - Hull City - Statesideowl - 29-05-2016 It's going to be a lot harder next season. And we can't play like that when it matters. Aside from the first 10 minutes and a few pop up storms, we never looked lke being there. Hull were not amazing either which makes the pill even harder to swallow. We had ample opportunity in the first 40 mins to be up however Wallace, the man that booked our spot was one of many not showing up on the day. As for Bruce and Snodgrass, Dawson. Despite being the better team I can only be thankful I'm not on the side of such pathetic underhandedness. RE: Match Thread - Hull City - St Charles Owl - 29-05-2016 The thing that disappointed me about Wallace was his set piece deliveries, hardly ever beat the first man!! There are a few players that we should be looking to improve on this summer. We need another CH, I like Pudil but Hunt could be replaced, need a pacy winger to replace Wallace and we need a better striker, Ross McCormack would do nicely!! We are so much closer to getting up than anytime in the last 16 years, but we are still 4-5 players short!! Hull came down last season and pretty much kept their squad together, but while they were better, they weren't that much better and it was the one moment of magic that ended up winning the game, we simply didn't get that today!! Strangely I am not too disappointed, there are enough signs that we really are on the up, just hope Carlos has the contacts to find the players we need. Maybe he can raid the Manure system now that his mate Jose is at Old Trafford. This season has put us back on the map as a good club that can challenge, that should stand us in good stead with the big boys and their younger stars!! RE: Match Thread - Hull City - Statesideowl - 29-05-2016 After a good weep and somewhat slightly sobeing up Im still gutted, and xxxx Hull.. RE: Match Thread - Hull City - Maddix - 29-05-2016 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Spent 90 minutes waiting for us to change formation and step up a gear ![]() Did someone cut Bannan's hair because he's been anonymous throughout the play-offs ![]() Couldn't believe the number of empty seats ![]() ![]() RE: Match Thread - Hull City - Owlkev71 - 29-05-2016 Westwood 8 Hunt 5 Loovens 6 Lees 6 Pudil 5 Bannan 5 Lee 5 Wallace 4 Hutch 7 FF 5 Hooper 5 Helan 5 Nuhiu 5 Joao not on long enough to rate RE: Match Thread - Hull City - St Charles Owl - 29-05-2016 (29-05-2016, 09:34)Maddix Wrote: The thing is this is what happened!!!! I was in the top tier and a couple of blocks to my left was about 6 empty blocks so Hull obviously never released those areas. They could easily have given them to us and had complete segregation!! RE: Match Thread - Hull City - Statesideowl - 29-05-2016 This morning hurts, physically and mentally. Some would say we over achieved in the first place, they might be right. We were never in it after the first 15 mins. Hoopers first touches were Donkey-esque Wallace couldn't cross a ball Bannan couldn't hold a ball Westwood the only man to show up, and he didn't look happy either. Glad everyone made it back safely. I'm back off to bed the light is piercing my skull! RE: Match Thread - Hull City - Daffodils on the piano - 29-05-2016 Got back about 1-30am,I will not be doing it in one day again, far too tiring for an old gimmer like me.As has been said the team never turned up,unlike us 45,000 fans, fantastic turnout, best support ever for any team at Wembley. If only Hull fans had bothered to turn up,pathetic support for a Championship play final when the rewards are so great.I bet any team they play away next season will relish the coach load that turn up instead of the thousands we take. The stadium looks fantastic and it is a great experience, however the same cannot be said for the surrounding area and infrastucture to get to the place and it was even worse getting away.It took our coach and probably many others 2 hours to get of London, then we hit a hold up on the M1.As I hav said next time I'll make a weekend of it,might take the wife. Ah well we start again in a couple of months time and we have the Euors to tide us over, well the first rounds if you are an England fan. Just feeling a little deflated though today,it was there in our grasp and we failed to take it. Onwards and upward then once again. WAWAW. |
