There is a panel that meets after each round of matches to study appeals etc. It is just that they are not allowed to look at double yellow cases. Video referrals are getting closer as the new FIFA President wants trials sooner rather than later. RE: Match Thread - Hull City v SWFC - Maddix - 02-03-2016 Exactly MS ![]() No right of appeal went out of fashion long ago in every other trade ![]() RE: Match Thread - Hull City v SWFC - St Charles Owl - 02-03-2016 There shouldn't be a right of appeal for everything that occurs during a game, but if a straight red can be appealed then a double yellow "red" should also have the same option. But there should be a review of ref performance after every game and while some should not ref again this should not be the aim. Just like footballers train every day to keep up their fitness and to improve their skills, then refs should receive more ongoing training as a result of their performances and situations they find themselves in. For starters everything they say during a game should be recorded, if it isn't already, and this along with video should be used to teach them. RE: Match Thread - Hull City v SWFC - Statesideowl - 02-03-2016 Well, who is ready for Toytown on Saturday? ![]() Don't know why, but I have a feeling it's going to be a real treat! RE: Match Thread - Hull City v SWFC - madsteve - 02-03-2016 Tim Robinson was being fast tracked towards being part of the new Professional Group of referees for SBC next season. It could be that this incident might stop him getting on that full time list of referees. I notice that he double yellowed a Newport player last night. RE: Match Thread - Hull City v SWFC - Maddix - 02-03-2016 He should be a xxxx traffic warden ![]() ![]() RE: Match Thread - Hull City v SWFC - Statesideowl - 02-03-2016 There's that self righteous indignation I was talking about. ![]() If he was being fast tracked then he knows someone or is already in the boys club. He is clearly learning nothing nor does he wish to after reading Crawley V Newport's write up Newport manager says the second yellow was harsh.. Seems he was being a Homer again too http://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/sport/football/newportcounty/14314935.Two_game_ban_for_Medy_Elito_after_red_card/ I'm telling you there's no smoke without fire. Well, it's something to keep an eye on that's for certain. Charlie, are you sneaking the match thread up at bedtime tomorrow? ![]() I can actually see some points in our future, Colin is the gift that keeps on giving. He say's he bought his crash helmet so anyone that goes do feel free to throw objects at him. ![]() RE: Match Thread - Hull City v SWFC - Owlkev71 - 02-03-2016 2nd yellow was for obstruction apparently. RE: Match Thread - Hull City v SWFC - St Charles Owl - 02-03-2016 Thread will be up tonight, but I'm in Phoenix so only one hour behind you Stateside!! RE: Match Thread - Hull City v SWFC - Statesideowl - 02-03-2016 Heading east, eh, How's AZ? Heard it's a bit Rednecky but good places to eat ![]() |
