RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - Tom_Wba - 09-07-2015 Anyone know when we leave for the United States? (1st game 16th) It will be very disappointing if they haven't got anymore players on board before then its a perfect trip for the new signings to settle in. I would imagine Tony Pulis is very frustrated at the moment with the lack of arrivals after saying he wanted to do some business early doors RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - WBA Will - 09-07-2015 (09-07-2015, 19:42)Tom_Wba Wrote: Anyone know when we leave for the United States? Express and Star say we're leaving for the US on Sunday. Think I did hear that the club wanted a few more in to take there but doesn't look like it will happen. Seems like everyone we're linked to is overpriced, but that's what happens when you exclusively sign British-based players. I guess it comes down to whether you're a gambler: would you be willing to pay less and accept the higher risk of a player not settling in the Premier League? Seems very much like Pulis' answer is a firm no. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - Baggievicar - 09-07-2015 (09-07-2015, 22:24)WBA Will Wrote:It does seem like that's TP's preference, Will. It will be very interesting to see what he does as time goes on and he's backed into a corner where, if we're going to get anyone at all, he has to make a choice between paying over the odds for British or taking a punt on foreign. He surely won't let us get to the beginning of the season with just what's left of last year's squad plus McClean. Will he?(09-07-2015, 19:42)Tom_Wba Wrote: Anyone know when we leave for the United States? RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - aries22 - 10-07-2015 I see Stoke's N'Zonzi has joined Europa league winners Sevilla for £7 million (BBC Sport reports). That's the sort of competition Albion (and Stoke) are up against for players that could make a massive difference. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - Dingle-Dingle - 10-07-2015 Newcastle United must pay Queens Park Rangers £15m if they want to sign 26-year-old striker Charlie Austin. (Evening Chronicle) Crystal Palace also want former Burnley player Austin - and will make an initial offer of £6m plus two players in part exchange. (Guardian) Over to you JP. Will your offer of a pack of Black Country Scratchings trump these offers?? DD ![]() ![]() RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - talkSAFT - 10-07-2015 Same situation every Window - everything will happen on 31st August. The Window s/b scrapped - it's ridiculous. Take Charlie Austin (for example): Pulis might have offered QPR what they wanted, and suggested to Austin the salary deal, but his Agent will have said "Hang on, Charlie, let's see if we can't get another £1m pa. No rush." What's the point of The Window? It doesn't stem inflation, which is what it was designed for. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - Luke_East_Baggie - 10-07-2015 12m cash and if he scores more than 12, another 3m. QPR have already rejected £12 million from Leicester for Austin, so he will probably not be coming here. RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - Salopbaggie - 10-07-2015 Yacob signs new two year deal. One bit of good news anyway. ![]() RE: WBA Summer 2015 Transfer Window - BaggieMan - 10-07-2015 It wouldn't be West Brom if we didn't have a last day scramble to pick up the leftovers being touted around with triple Green Shield Stamps would it ? Short of getting a free-spending multi billionaire, it ain't gonna change ay it ? ![]() |
