It's usually the case. Lets hope we can get a few wins in our latest 'honeymoon' period.

A point at West Ham would be good. 3 would get us almost back on track with 20pts at the halfway point of the season.

Pulis confirmed.
Baseball caps on and let's get back to winning bloody football matches !

Team selection today will hopefully confirm what we all thought I.e that Irvine had his favourites and took no advice from his support team. I want to see Gamboa in as well as Varela and Bianco with Bobby and Saido together. I remain hugely disappointed with the appointment of Pulis however not disappointed that JP has at very least hired someone who will definitively have the final word on transfers.

Fancy a draw today.

RE: WBA Xmas/New Year Thread - Squirrel Regis - 01-01-2015

Whilst many have doubts about Pulis style, it's fair to say most wanted Irvine out(shouldn't have ever got the job).
It is looking like Downing, Kelly and maybe Kiely will be going which has got to be a good thing with rumours of cliques in the dressing room between players and these 3.
It feels like with the New year we have a new start and already liking the cut of Pulis jib...
We need unity and players, supporters & everyone connected with the club sticking together.
Would be happy with a point today but realistically it's the Hull game where the fresh start begins.
C O Y B.

Sess and Berahino can do something up front and the midfield will protect the defence but it is a poor team selection Amalfitano goal is a certainty.

Kelly and Downing parting shot - I hope

RE: WBA Xmas/New Year Thread - drewks - 01-01-2015

..wasn't it against West Ham with a new manager in the stands looking on (Uncle Roy) when we went 3 up by half time and then ended up clinging on grimly to a solitary point - and actually being grateful for it by the end?? Doh

Perversely weren't WHam also up in arms with the appointment of Big Sam......'sold out'........'against our traditional style'.......'New Manager OUT'?!! Hmmmm - their position looks pretty good from where I'm sitting!

Well some things look familiar:

Foster, Wisdom, Lescott, McAuley, Baird, Morrison, Mulumbu, Brunt, Dorrans, Sessegnon, Berahino.

Subs: Myhill, Gamboa, Dawson, Yacob, Varela, Ideye, A Nabi.

Great to see Nabi on the bench but still no start for Varela

Hmm,
Same stale old team.
3-0 West Ham .
Looks like the fresh start doesn't happen just yet....
