I've never thought about what 'being in administration' REALLY means...... does it take a club out of the hands of the owner and make it available to the highest bidder, for example?

Simply put answers only, please!  Blush

MSD now being owed £25m (Inc interest) could insist the club is wound up if it fails to repay it's loan payments. If we failed to pay let's say the £7.5 million owed to Hudds for Grant that would end up as  transfer embargo situation. Failing to pay taxes can result in administration where all assets could be sold to the highest bidder. The probable outcome IMO is that MSD will will take control and find a new suitable owner who has funds to pay them and financially secure the business.
Where we are then who knows, but IMO we will be at the lower end of the table or relegated
We can join many other great clubs that have fell from grace.

I hope such people exist.

How many Albion fans/followers are there? (Say 150-200,000?) Just thinking of how the dissolution of the Club will affect that great number, horrifically, should fill Jeremy Peace with utter shame, or even suicidal thoughts.
I was a great admirer of how he led us back to the big time. Some said he wasn't ambitious enough, but he did it pragmatically, we shouldn't forget.
But what made the bloke sell us to such a tw*t without serious consideration? Was it just for the big £££ ? How can anyone sell 150,000 of his own people down the toilet just for his own personal fortune? He and his family will struggle to spend all that loot in their lifetime!
Save your skin, ego, and reputation, Jeremy, and set up a deal to buy the Club back again. It will give you more pleasure and satisfaction than being a Black Country Trump.

We need another striker.

Dike is great but far too fragile to rely upon. Asante is far from the complete article and Grant is a very expensive journeyman who should have been sold but given all that’s happened (Dike) is likely to stay.

And just confirmed, out for at least six months this time.

We will be selling before we get anyone in.
If we can't afford to keep Pieter's it's things are tight. No parachute money £25m and £5m loan repayment. That's £30m less then last year and we had to take £20m loan out to keep going. With a few players binned that saves us a max of £5m a year in wages. Massive restructuring is needed across the whole club. 50% of employees have to go or Administration here we come.
Cash wise we have nothing unless we sell a few players.
