RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - Lord Snooty - 18-03-2025 Ryan Schofield back at Leeds Road. Don't worry, he's playing in goal for Morecambe reserves at Canalside. RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - theo_luddite - 19-03-2025 WTAF? - do we all get a mention in the Graun etc. when we don't actually pop our real clogs? https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/mar/18/bulgarian-footballer-commemorated-with-minutes-silence-despite-not-being-dead RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - WakeyTerrier - 20-03-2025 Short arm long pocket syndrome coming to football stadium near you very very soon. £419 to renew my seat up from £249 At this rate I’ll have to get a job RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - theo_luddite - 20-03-2025 £369 for mine - I was expecting an increase to maybe £300 or £325. Gonna have to look down the back of Rachel Reeves's sofa to pay for this. Given I rarely (this season I won't) come up for midweek matches unless it's a play-off game, which we all pay extra for, I'll do a max of 18 home games this season. So £20/game which is pay-on-the-day (or buy online) prices this season for old farts. Other than the convenience of having a seat at the end of a row, have to wonder about renewing when there will likely be loads of end of the row seats available next season unless Worthy pulls off a miracle. The fact that I also come up to see family and friends when Town are at home comes into the equation. That's another £360-£450 that comes into the equation (petrol or otherwise, beer money would be spent anyway). It's still cheaper than moving back north though. RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - jjamez - 20-03-2025 At this moment in time, I'm out, I can't afford the increase in the riverside upper, I'd have umm and arrr had it gone to 350 and leaned towards saying no with everything going on in my life atm. Can I justify those increases, nope, can I personally afford to sit elsewhere in the ground, yes, but riverside lower isn't much cheaper, kilnerbank is above where I said I'd lean towards no in the first place. Didn't really enjoy the cowshed when I was last in it, not my scene, so that leaves the north stand. Lower stand is cheapest by far but I don't want to be investing in a coat fit for arctic expeditions and upper isn't much of a view. I've tried to be fair and reasonable with town over the years, and with kev since he took over, I love going to games even when we're shit, it's also part of the reason I post here and make match threads, I live this club, but I feel this has just stabbed my heart, I do fear if I don't get a ticket this time, it's pretty much me done, very unlikely to ever get a new one, I don't think I'm going to be the only one. Well done town. Bravo. RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - Amelia Chaffinch - 20-03-2025 Right at this moment, my brain says no. It's when the heart starts talking that there'll be an argument within. I can't see the value right now. Snoots isn't 65 until July and even then it's only £20 off. The car park is going to be £180 which I think is a £45 increase. I'm sure it was £135 this last year. Whatever, it's all stacking up. It's a huge increase in one go and, until we're stable (even with our position in the league, we're not), I can't see value for money. RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - WakeyTerrier - 20-03-2025 It’s safe to say these price rises haven’t gone down well. The one thing Town haven’t announced is the match day pricing for next season which I think is important when weighing up the options, I want to know how much I’m saving. Based on this season’s prices I’ll get 6 games for free if I buy the same season ticket, if I move to the TT stand that becomes 13….a vast and ridiculous difference. RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - Amelia Chaffinch - 20-03-2025 And who wants to move from Riverside to TT? I don't. ![]() RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - Lord Snooty - 20-03-2025 Absolutely nonsensical! The matchday experience since 2017-18 has been awful. Only the cheap tickets kept us coming back. I can't see us re-newing. If it's still 25 quid to pay on the day, will pick and choose games. If they shove that up as well, you can shove it up your arse Nagle! RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - Amelia Chaffinch - 20-03-2025 That's what I thought, Snoots. |
