Had cancer for years apparently but a great goalie and always came across as a nice guy in front of the camera's and mic's.
Worked for 6 England Managers as a goalie coach too after he retired as a player.

Not fit to lace Best's boots in my opinion. Cheat on the pitch, drug cheat off the pitch.
Some clown on the box last night was saying the stick he got on the pitch from defenders led to his excesses and drug taking off it. Yeah, right and the next tweet from Donald Trump will be him admitting that Covid and Climate Change are real.

George took some proper knocks in his time on the pitch and that was when defenders could kick scythe you down without punishment and he never had to resort to getting pissed.........
well maybe he did. He was still better than dirty Diego.
There's been loads of players who were better than Maradona. Before him and after him. I don't get all the hype about him. Watching Sky Sports News has been embarrassing.
