RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Bristol City - Southeyowl - 08-08-2015 Just got in, struggling to see my phone! Decent game, Hunt for me was MOTM! Barry and Wallace had great games! Matias should have had two! All in all a good day? Especially as snort beasts got stuffed too! Lopez was much more advanced than Hutchinson, playing alongside McGugan. It was 4-1-2-3 when attacking and 4-5-1 when defending. CC made a point of this in his interview after the game. Westwood 6 Hunt 8. Fantastic debut, class act Loovens 6. Lees 7 Helan 7. Much better than last season Hutch 7. Has stopped chasing every ball and is better at conserving energy. Lopez 6. Drifted in and out McGugan 8. Heartbeat of the side Matias 7. No end product today but energetic and threatening Nuhiu 7. Worked hard, linked superbly. A little clumsy in the box Wallace 9. Two assists and a constant danger. RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Bristol City - Was Wereham Owl - 08-08-2015 Are we all happy ... not much to moan about as Owls today (as far as I can see anyway), things can only get better , but I'm sure there will be hiccups along the way, all in all ..a great day.. SCO , I'm off for me jollies for 2 weeks , would you mind picking all the bits a pieces for me , just don't want to miss out, even if you pick 11-0 for games and all homes !! RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Bristol City - St Charles Owl - 08-08-2015 ![]() So their boycott obviously didn't make a ton of difference I assume!!! ![]() (08-08-2015, 21:49)Owlkev71 Wrote: He does like to change formations during the game 4231, 433, at least it wasn't 442. If SG had been as flexible with formations then he may have been still in a job today!!! RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Bristol City - consilio - 08-08-2015 I also noted that CC kept telling Nuhiu to stop chasing every ball and to let their CB have it until they left the first the first third of the pitch. Makes sense to me and stops us getting dragged around. If they are good enough to ping 60 yard passes between our CB's then we will take it on the chin or start chasing. CC is involved throughout. Along with Bullen and one of the new Portugese coaches. Constant communication and encouragement to the players. First impressions, excellent.
