RE: Next WBA Manager - All News, Rumours & Speculation - SomersetBaggie - 13-05-2019 I see Chris Hughton has been sacked by Brighton. Any takers?? Used to rate him until the JRod/Bong episode. RE: Next WBA Manager - All News, Rumours & Speculation - Baggievicar - 13-05-2019 Forgot about the JRod/Bong stuff, Somerset. Yes, it makes you think. I've always liked him, but there are plenty of Brighton fans saying his default is to set up way too negative. We've been there. RE: Next WBA Manager - All News, Rumours & Speculation - 4evaabaggie - 13-05-2019 Chris Hughton sacked ....... anybody in favour. RE: Next WBA Manager - All News, Rumours & Speculation - Beefy 1965 - 13-05-2019 Don't like his attitude sometimes but I suppose he is only sticking up for his team and players, However ticks all the right boxes for me ![]() RE: Next WBA Manager - All News, Rumours & Speculation - betterthanbaird - 13-05-2019 (13-05-2019, 11:55)4evaabaggie Wrote: Chris Hughton sacked ....... anybody in favour. Absolutely, superb manager at this level, and he's already been promoted twice. RE: Next WBA Manager - All News, Rumours & Speculation - Blue Baggie - 13-05-2019 Mark, Mark, Maaarrk!! A manager who has won promotion twice has become available FOC YES FOC - ah forget it I just remembered he's never played for us ? RE: Next WBA Manager - All News, Rumours & Speculation - BaggieSteve - 13-05-2019 Assuming that we won't be getting promoted this year, then I'd like to see us appoint a manager with fresh ideas, someone who is prepared to play the outstanding talent coming through the Academy, someone who can see beyond signing past it British players looking for a final pay check to top up their pension. So, on that basis, no I'm not keen on Chris Hughton or, to be honest, any of the usual British managerial suspects whose names will be bandied about and whose ideas, too often, are stuck in a straightjacket. I'd like to see us spread the net wide, taking in overseas coaches. I don't know who that would be but I'm sure Josh could suggest a few. However, knowing our owners/managers, then it will be the cheapest option possible with no real concern for the club...so, Hughton it will be! RE: Next WBA Manager - All News, Rumours & Speculation - Baggievicar - 13-05-2019 This is from a tweet quoted on the BBC site: We've been poor this season, and haven't looked to improve. We had a decent run at the start of the season, but in the run of 1-0 wins that put us in a decent position against West Ham, Newcastle and Wolves we deserved to lose all of those games. I've been embarrassed to be a Brighton fan this season at times, as the football has been drab, dour and downright disastrous. Very lucky we stayed up. RE: Next WBA Manager - All News, Rumours & Speculation - 4evaabaggie - 13-05-2019 BV, great post, but most teams in the greed league are lucky to win a lot of their games, the majority set up to not lose, . anything else is a bonus and to get enough points to stay with their noses in the trough is the aim of the game ...... we were the same ...... one difference ....... their still there. We kept he of Pulis when he should have been sacked because he'd never been relegated. ... he still hasn't ...... but the teams he created (loosely speaking) or should that be destroyed have, just because his rectum wasn't in the hot seat at the time of demise he was still the architect ...... and in reality the one who got relegated. Brighton acted ....... we tried the cheap option ...... and will be behind the dingles and maybe the vile for the foreseeable future .... RE: Next WBA Manager - All News, Rumours & Speculation - Beefy 1965 - 13-05-2019 The man who sacked Houghton Dan Ashworth ..... Next coach will probably be a gud un then ? |
