RE: EUROS - hibeejim21 - 08-07-2021 Who is out there criticizing the Italians or Spanish for all the diving and falling over they do? Yeah, no England fans or pundits would ever ever do that.... Who could ever suggest such a thing ? ![]() Fact is England fans and pundits have always taken the higher moral ground on other countries diving and conning the ref over the years so please don't suggest different. Sterling was constantly at it last night, he even dived at the own goal ffs and later on had a sneaky slap at one of the CBs. I hope Chiellini xxxx snaps him in the final. Last night for the pk he dives when the first Dane’s leg comes near but doesn’t touch him and then there is slight contact with the second Dane when Sterling is already nearly on the deck. Anyone who says that was a penalty is just at it. He cheated - end of. So far I've seen loads of English pundits and fans admit it wasn't a pk , shit even Mark Lawrenson agreed. Kane is just as sly btw, His trademark trick is he likes to move forward to receive the ball, the defender tracks him and goes with him. Kane stops in his tracks for no reason and the defender bumps into him. Down he goes. Free kick given. Seen it given countless times this tournament. If England lose the final it would take some brass neck to complain about the Italians diving and falling over being the reason. RE: EUROS - St Charles Owl - 08-07-2021 I'm not suggesting anything different should apply to England, I'm suggesting accusing England of cheating their way to the final for things we see in every game by other teams is unfair. How about calling out this stunt by Immobile as an example of Italy cheating their way to the final? https://twitter.com/i/status/1411050713053077515 The penalty was soft, the ref gave it, VAR backed that up and Mark Lawrenson played for Wales so I would expect him to feel it was harsh on Denmark!! ![]() RE: EUROS - Tobias Chuddlewick - 08-07-2021 Well we've got to the final lads , as far as I know, nobody has been killed or even seriously injured. Seems now we are discussing how we got there by hunting down the innocent and the blaming of the good few. I shall enjoy the final and if Italy win by being the better team I will accept it. I am of course hoping for an England win. RE: EUROS - Lord Snooty - 08-07-2021 I know it was a long way out. Not as close as a penalty. But the Denmark player took a dive to win the free kick from which they scored. Just saying. ![]() RE: EUROS - WakeyTerrier - 09-07-2021 (08-07-2021, 21:00)Tobias Chuddlewick Wrote: Well we've got to the final lads , as far as I know, nobody has been killed or even seriously injured. Some people in our nation are determined to knock the England team no matter what happens, it's like they feel bitter towards any success. We have earned the right to be in the Final. We have played 6 games and won 5 of them, we are unbeaten. We have scored 10 goals and only conceded 1 Southgate has made difficult but great tactical decisions like easing Maguire back into the tournament rather than rushing him back. Picking both Rice and Phillips ahead of Henderson. Keeping Faith in both Sterling who came into the Euro's very much on patchy form and sticking by Kane who looked out of sorts against Croatia and Scotland. Just what does it take to get the grumpy brigade on board? RE: EUROS - hibeejim21 - 09-07-2021 Mark Lawrenson did not play for Wales, and is your typical England can do no wrong pundit. None of the usual pish about cheating foreigners from the media, and dinnae give us any of that pish about no one saying it because it's usually all over England fans social media and there are examples of it on your own fans board. Pleased to see you agree the penalty was 'soft' now after making out it was a stonewaller the other night. RE: EUROS - SHEP_HTAFC - 09-07-2021 If England do win this competition, then large thanks should go to Yorkshire. The rock solid defense, 3 of the back 4 are from Yorkshire. Maguire, Walker and Stones. We have the Yorkshire Pirlo in at defensive midfield. And not forgetting the honorary Yorkshireman, Gareth Southgate. Lives in Harrogate. And a couple of ex Town loanees keeping the first 11 on their toes in training - Coady and Chilwell.
