One of the lies spouted at the time to persuade the leave vote was we "don't need to be in the EU to be in the single market", which we didn't and still don't, then they changed their minds. Norn Iron suddenly became a problem that previously wasn't and they now try to blame it all on Covid and Russia/Ukraine. As for taking back control of our borders, (not that we never didn't have control, we didn't join Schengen and you had to pass through Passport Control going to/from any EU country going from/to the UK) overall that's worked out well hasn't it? Immigration continues to rise regardless, particularly from the EU in spite of the removal of our right to freedom of movement.

Meanwhile the tories would rather drag your granny back to work than admit brexit is causing profound labour shortages.
Meanwhile up here i saw the owner of LochFyne saying that he's had to let staff go and try and focus on selling scallops, lobster and langoustines to china (which will take years to develop) as its easier than selling to France!!

IMO the more people who start slamming into the Brexit lie, and RW con men like Farage, the better!! I'm not a Bercow fan, but the genuine frustration and anger re Brexit being "tarted up" as having minimal effect on the country, is very clear from the fiery response to Farage.
