Ronaldo crying was so funny!! I get he cares but the game was still there to be won!! In the end he redeemed himself in the shootout and Portugal go through, which in reality they easily deserved.

4 teams Germany spain France and Portugal plus Netherlands we have no chance of beating not in a month of Sundays
And there's still the swiss Austrians and Romania to contend with ....
If spain are the favourites at evens then I'd put us 8-1 on behind the other 7

Well thankfully we will only have to beat one of them to win it!! We keep showing glimpses of what this team is capable of doing, got to somehow use the last match to reinforce that more often.

I cannot see Gareth's tactics triumphing against the Swiss.
They knocked out Italy who played similarly to England with the boring, standoffish approach.
Lessons have not been learned. Gareth genuinely believes his genius pushed us over the line against Slovakia and its that profound delusion which will make Switzerland his final game..

They are probably already practicing missing penalties so they can go to Dubai next week before their club preseason starts.

Was it a brilliant game or is it more the case of the football on show thus far in this tournament has been poor and often farcical due to inconsistent officiating?
First decent game looks more appealing than it actually is/was!
I'm really hoping the QF's onwards provides some real entertainment. VAR and the influencing are destroying the game though.
