RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - Lord Snooty - 12-07-2023 Harry Toffolo: Nottingham Forest defender charged by FA over breaching betting rules 375 times https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66180483 Quote:Nottingham Forest defender Harry Toffolo has been charged by the Football Association for breaching its betting rules. RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - theo_luddite - 12-07-2023 So what's the betting on a longer or shorter ban than Toney then? What? ![]() RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - Lord Snooty - 13-07-2023 Sean Scannell, still only 32 years old, has dropped to tier 7, joining Hornchurch FC in the Isthmian League Premier Division RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - theo_luddite - 13-07-2023 Scanz is only 32?? Wtf, and Mini-Scanz has gone to Both Endz. I know which of the two I'd rather have unless Scanz is now a month-on-month-off version of his former self. I need a drink and a lie down, and a chocolate mint ice cream lolly and another drink. Oh, hang on, I need to cook dinner (or tea as we call it up noooerth). Best not BBQ the ice cream eh? RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - Amelia Chaffinch - 13-07-2023 I ended up having a salted caramel pretend magnum. RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - Lord Snooty - 14-07-2023 Danny Grant is back in Dublin. Signed for Bohemians. RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - theo_luddite - 14-07-2023 That went well didn't it. RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - theo_luddite - 14-07-2023 Reading - and some folk think we're up shit creek baht a paddle. ![]() That penalty shoot out was as near as they got, back in the (almost) Summer of 17. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/jul/14/reading-mess-men-women-relegated-squad-part-time Oh and don't forget Wigan - two clubs with money men (ahem) that passed the so called "Fit and proper owners" EFL test. I hope we are not in this category this time next season. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11682/12901118/wigan-athletic-hmrc-requests-winding-up-order-against-latics-over-unpaid-tax-bills Meanwhile - all this expensive Prima Donna League talent (and many from other other leagues) that is going out to kick sand around in the dunes for funny money - who the hell is going to watch them in a competition that means 2/3rds of bugger all to anyone? RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - Lord Snooty - 15-07-2023 Karlan Grant signs on loan for Cardiff. Odd move from Corbs. Even Jan Siewert managed to get a tune out of Karlan. RE: Not The Town O'Clock News - theo_luddite - 15-07-2023 West Brom, including Corbs, kept playing him as a lone striker (when they actually picked him) rather than putting him on the left of a two. He scored most of his goals as part of a two (or three) up front rather than ploughing a lonely furrow. Like you say, rather odd to pay £15m for someone and then not set up the team to his strengths. We've done the same with Rhodes, just that we didn't pay £15m to get him back, but he is one of our bigger earners. |
