If it's true they have offered him £150k a week it's a done deal.
Nobody else is going to pay him anything like that.
Then we come to fee £17 million is simply what the club will get.
Another £17 million will be deposited into Mr Lai Chinese account.
As we have no control over what happens, why bother. All the moaning and groaning won't change anything. This will have a massive impact on our new manager's reputation though.

Joe Masi is reporting a salary offer of £140k a week, but they are nowhere near on a transfer fee at present, a figure of between £8-10 mil being suggested, still time to get that up though.

Why the conspiracy theory’s and why will this have any impact on our manager.
He wants him gone and he could be going, we don’t want a dejected player who wants the money in our side.
Why do some posters always think it’s our fault we will not know how much he goes for. the people at fault are the Saudi’s for illegally tapping up Pereira.

If you were manager given the task of gaining promotion and you had several of your playing staff disposed of and your transfer budget set at zero. Your replacement players must be free. Then your best player sold for 1/2 of his value. What more can the club do to ensure we DON'T get promoted. If your manager works under these conditions he's not interested in promotion or he's a fool IMO.

Or he is interested in promotion, knows he can't change things and will just do the best he can in the circumstances.

If Pereira is being paid £140k per week, good luck to him, it’s not for me to judge his motives although it’s clear that playing at the highest level possible is not one of his considerations. My concern is what transfer fee we have agreed - the figures being circulated don’t seem to match our evaluation- and that the money is reinvested in the squad

Good luck to him but sad he has gone, Oh well moving on - £20m paid in two stages - not sure the trigger point for part 2.
