At least a couple of times we were missing a front man on the end of a decent cross. How did Scanz get motm? He wasn't crap but not the stand out he has been. RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - jjamez - 20-12-2014 Didnt go today and judging on the comments on datm there are few things that are obvious to me. 1) we played very very poor 2) the moment we hit bad patches there are a lot of fans that love to hit out with pure knee jerk reactions. Most of which are poorly thought out and to the extent it is embarrassing. the calls for powell to leave and take hoyle and co with him are plainly ridiculous 3) we really do have a contingency of brain dead supporters RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - Lord Snooty - 20-12-2014 Behind the Dirties now. ![]() RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - sloppyattheback - 20-12-2014 That was awful, no desire no leadership and 1 up front against as poor a team as will visit us this season. Holt dropping deep to get some ball left their centre backs with an easy afternoon, Scanz not on it and only glimpses from Bunn on the attack. At the back did Smith deserve to be dropped for a very average Pelts and Robinson was poor and needs to feel the pressure from Dicko breathing down his neck for the shirt. Midfield was lacking offensively Coady just sits too deep for me, yes Brum hardly had a meaningful shot but we failed until the closing stages to really threaten them also. Looked like Donaldson just ran into Gerrard for the free kick, will be keen to see the goal as it looked central to Smithies who appeared to be flapping and misjudge it badly. Shocking all round, disappointed with CP's interview he seemed to think we were ok, playing 2 up front guarantees you will have more time in the opponents half the whole team can push forward. Not the performance nor the reaction that was muted after last week's mauling from within the club, leaves us nervy for Friday's trip to Rotherham, I'd have the fekkers in tomorrow no rest days and Thursday training too if that's what they think is acceptable. RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - jjamez - 20-12-2014 Powells problem is he wants to play coady butterfield and hogg in midfield and that means two up top is hard. I guess the only thing is we play three up top in vaughan wells and scanz and make them narrow and move into the channels. Hogg and butterfield play either side of coady but we would become too narrow and probably have to rely on smith and dixon breaking forward but even then the midfield would drop deep. My idea is we follow the formation of top teams and go 4-2-3-1. The three are two basically wide striker and the one spare is the playmaker he drops for the ball and gets it out wide quick and ventures forward RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - theo_luddite - 20-12-2014 Powell needs to drop these negative crapticts at home. Brum have been difficult to beat on their travels all season and playing one up front against them is a complete joke. They've got old legs and old heads at the back and we didn't run at them until the last 5 minutes. All those that went shopping made a bloody wise decision. Drove past 4 Brum coaches on the way up. Should gave got a lift back off them after the game. RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - EastLondonTerrier - 20-12-2014 Why no Hammill is very very strange. If Lolley was the only player who showed signs of life when he came on give him a game next week. Can't do any harm. We have to be positive against rotherham and play nakhi and vaughan. We can't afford to be negative when we're out of form as we will both not score goals and concede them. RE: Huddersfield V Birmingham- JJ's Definately Unofficial Official Match Thread - WakeyTerrier - 21-12-2014 Absolutely shit today, no excuse for that kind of performance |
