When we arranged my step father's funeral back in 2017 my eldest daughter and I chose as the closing piece a song that he often sang in the month's just before he died.
I can't remember the name of the artist but from the 50's 'Cigareetes and whisky and wild wild women. Don't think the pastor was too amused.
As for myself I would chose between two:- Knights in white satin (Moodies) or The Parting Glass sung be Celtic Woman.
Hopefully neither of them will be needed in the foreseeable future.

This is an absolute banger, and would hopefully be a compromise between those who'd want a hymn and those who'd want, y'know, actual music.

Cracking stuff, Ska'd. I've got a few things like that which would do the trick.
In fact, if I put down all the things I'd want to go out to they'd be bringing me in and out like a jack-in-the-box, for about 3 hours.
Somewhere in it, of course, would be The Lord's my Shepherd, done in proper Hawthorns style. I always struggle to sing it 'respectably' these days.

Footballing interest is zero and sinking fast, that's not to say I don't still love the Albion but all the bias, dodgy decisions, sky sports, premier league closed shop etc, I can't be doing with it.
