He doesn't do many of the jobs I ask him to do. He has said yes to painting the front door and giving the hut a second coat this year, to name but two.

One clue is in the thread - the PNE's. Burnalee rings a bell. The Witches Coven on Pendle Hill insisted on it for me too for some reason. There's at least a couple of Black Country rivals too in addition to Aston Vanilla - some are on this forum - they are getting on a bit now though. Coven is also a village just north of me so a double hit there.

Can I say how brilliant that is. It does, however, illustrate a little of what is wrong on Babble, that we really need some copy superbly produced of that kind that is central to the whole site to draw punters in.
Unless a guest were specifically excited by the prospect of Huddersfield playing Preston they would never see it. The welcome to the site looks efficient but not exciting and we need exciting. Huddersfield v Preston is boring isn't it, mid-table going nowhere clubs? Well no, they are clubs with an absolutely great past. Huddersfield once dominated English football and even I'm not old enough to have seen it. And Preston, apart from their achievements as a club, produced a player in Tom Finney who several "old blokes" absolutely insisted to me was the greatest player of all time and the more you know about him, the more obvious it becomes that he was a wonderful man too. We desperately need some of his values now.
Anyway Snoots thank you for your hard work. Perhaps you could send it to the EFL show. It might ensure they know something about the two clubs. It's only the other week that they found out Plymouth wasn't in Cornwall. God knows what they think the Pennines is, a supermarket chain?

Keep putting threads on Social Mdia we get a shedload of guests who never join and loads of members who never post, for a time there was another North Ender on site but he disappeared before Christmas, if people do not join their loss not ours

The quiz. All the answers are in the article, apart from the 12 original FL members. There are 5 current Premier League clubs, 4 Championship, one in League 2, one in the National League and one who went out of business shortly after, but the town it was based in has been replaced by another club who also went bust but became famous for a milk advert and after being reformed have now reached League One.
The fifth striker that Hodgkinson talked about, Kieran Phillips, has just bagged a hat trick for the B team.

Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán has made two changes to the starting line-up for today’s Sky Bet Championship game against Preston North End; 3pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Lewis O’Brien completes his return from the quad injury he sustained in pre-season by starting his first game of the campaign today. He replaces Carel Eiting, with the Ajax loanee among the substitutes.
The second switch sees Club Captain Christopher Schindler come back into the side, replacing Josh Koroma. The 21-year-old, who has played every second of Championship action before today, is also a substitute.
The only other change to the match day squad comes on the bench, where Romoney Crichlow replaces Jaden Brown.
Fraizer Campbell starts the 200th English league game of his career today, whilst Naby Sarr makes his 100th English league appearance.
Corberán is without the services of Tommy Elphick (knee), Álex Vallejo (quarantine), Danny Ward (hamstring) and Rarmani Edmonds-Green (hip).

Another good half of football. We took the lead deservedly but then Preston woke up and came more into it. They look dangerous from free kicks. we look dangerous every time we go forward. More of this Town and let's get that longed for positive goal difference.
