RE: Rochdale in t' Carabooboo Cup - Lord Snooty - 05-09-2020 I'm not right bothered about their goal. We reduced them to two chances all game. It's the lack of ideas going forward that frustrates me. With Grant in there we have a focal point. Someone who can do something, score a goal out of nothing. I don't want to blame Carlos cos he's only been here two minutes but we look clueless. It would appear a whole bunch of Championship clubs looked clueless today with the results we have seen!!!! RE: Rochdale in t' Carabooboo Cup - theo_luddite - 05-09-2020 Well hopefully Clueless Carlos gets a clue or two by next Saturday. We might not have had our "best 11" out today at 3pm but the "best 11" should all have had a run out by now. If Mounié or Grant are still here this time next week, play 'em, well Grant anyway. If other clubs want 'em badly enough, bollox to us paying their wages for another month if we ain't playing 'em. RE: Rochdale in t' Carabooboo Cup - WakeyTerrier - 05-09-2020 The young lads were ok today, it was the senior professionals that let them down Toffolo..bloody lazy effort to give the free kick away Schindler...managed to lose his man from the free kick Hamer...flapping. Koroma...looked okay going forward Hogg...can’t pass Ward...starved of any half decent service. Lightweight team/squad that we are desperate to add experience and quality to. The kids can’t be expected to drag us out of the shit. CC can’t be expected to polish numerous turds into quality footballers. Potless needs to bring players in to give us/give CC a chance Otherwise it’s curtains. RE: Rochdale in t' Carabooboo Cup - Lord Snooty - 05-09-2020 No matter how much brass we get for Grant, he won't be adequately replaced. Grant came in the first place because we were in the Premier League. How can we persuade a young hungry prolific striker to join a club heading towards League One? RE: Rochdale in t' Carabooboo Cup - jjamez - 06-09-2020 You don't snoots You persuade a foreign striker wanting to make a name for himself in English football. Hell there's a Spanish striker we once had, that has since gone on to play in the champions league that would probably relish the chance to make his mark, and I think our style would suit him and his overall build and style would be what we are after from a striker in this system Much like we did that promotion season. I wouldn't say it was all negative today, I saw a lot of things I liked and some stuff I didn't. I don't actually think Hamer was to blame, he thought about coming but didn't and wasn't out of position. Their man got the run on schindler and made it count. RE: Rochdale in t' Carabooboo Cup - Lord Snooty - 06-09-2020 Let's have a look at what you could've won! Rochdale now have a home tie against the Wendy. And after that, away to Ipswich or Fulham. Good luck Dale.
