With regards to my answer to no2. I knew there was a game where we played without a recognised keeper. The Examiner have just done an article on it.
It was actually in 1920, 100 years ago today. The team had played the cup semi final at Stamford Bridge and were to play at Port Vale on the Monday on the way home. Goalkeeper Sandy Mutch got injured and the reserve keeper didn't get to Port Vale in time, so half back Charlie Slade went in goal.
And he kept a clean sheet in a goalless draw.
So was the Gigg Lane gig the one where we had six players away on international duty but still had to play the match because the FL wouldn't postpone games for that reason back then?

Round 3 q4. I was there too Snoots. Me an me mate I met that season and we've still not fallen out over owt to do wi' Town. I'd have said about 2000 lost souls living in a fish bowl, don't you wish you were there? Buggered if I can remember who, but the last two home games were the two lowest. Fluham?
The home attendance v Wendies weren't nowt to reet 'ome abart either.

Correction, I met me mate the season afore. Yes I looked it up but I'm not gonna correct my other errors. Well it was just after I'd left school and I was just getting to the age when falling over fluids were legal to drink, hic.
