RE: WBA vs Bristol City & Preston - talkSAFT - 22-02-2020 .....but 0-3 HRK! RE: WBA vs Bristol City & Preston - Beefy 1965 - 22-02-2020 Nine clear of third again ![]() RE: WBA vs Bristol City & Preston - Blue Baggie - 22-02-2020 Swings and roundabouts, for all our struggles through January and poor ref decisions. It's now gone full circle. For us to go to BC and win 0-3 with 10 men shows we as a club have accepted we are the best squad in the league. And what we would have considered a difficult place to get a win a few weeks ago, has now been a formality. Hats off to Bilic and his team. A few more wins like this and we can get the bus booked ![]() RE: WBA vs Bristol City & Preston - baggietrousers - 22-02-2020 Just seen the Sawyers red card. How is that a straight red!! Nothing more than handbags, yes a little petulant, but come on. Can you imagine Billy Bremner, Norman Hunter, Franny Lee, Tommy Smith, playing today, they'd never finish a game. Showing my age now!! On the plus side, Sawyers not been playing great recently so at least he can take a break and SB can have a good look at other options of which we have a few now. Anyway, top of the league and confidence flooding back. As an aside, having seen some of the shocking VAR decisions in the prem today I'm not so sure I want us to play in that circus next season. Championship = proper football. RE: WBA vs Bristol City & Preston - Stairs - 22-02-2020 (22-02-2020, 20:26)baggietrousers Wrote: Just seen the Sawyers red card. How is that a straight red!! Showing my age now!!I also thought that was harsh and so maybe the club will appeal it. Very handbags. The VAR will get reviewed at end of season and they will ‘tweak’ things, it’s not possible to change rules mid season, so hopefully it will be less of an issue for us. In fact, if it was in play now, we would have had a winning goal last week and a Sawyers would have had the red reduced to a yellow. Yes, but if we'd been playing Liverpool, the first would have been disallowed for a foul by Livermore, the 2nd disallowed because HRK's left nostril was offside and the 3rd disallowed for a handball that happened 10 minutes earlier. RE: WBA vs Bristol City & Preston - bomberbrown1968 - 22-02-2020 Do we assume it will be Harper in the Sawyers role for Tuesday at least?, both have a tendancy to give or nearly give the ball away by overplaying it sometimes. Sawyers marred what would have been a "perfect" away performance, The footballers brain, ![]() ![]() RE: WBA vs Bristol City & Preston - wba13 - 22-02-2020 (22-02-2020, 23:28)bomberbrown1968 Wrote: Do we assume it will be Harper in the Sawyers role for Tuesday at least?, both have a tendancy to give or nearly give the ball away by overplaying it sometimes. RE: WBA vs Bristol City & Preston - themaclad - 22-02-2020 Probably sent him off for dodgy hair style but you cannot grab someone by the throat it’s harsh but Is correct, see you Tuesday RE: WBA vs Bristol City & Preston - wba13 - 22-02-2020 Why criticise what was a great performance ,something was obviously said to sawyers to make him react like he did. We were great today with special mentions to Livermore who grows in stature every match, HRK for his goals and overall performance. Also the other 9starters and 3 subs for a truly great day out. Bossed and bullied Bristol from start to finish. We are now looking what we know we are a really good side. Boing boing. |
