RE: WBA vs Arsenal - Match Thread - Squirrel Regis - 27-11-2014 Silver, As Baggies fans we are all harbingers of doom mate ! It kinda goes with the job. But you could be right about Arsenal having tired legs, gotta hope A.I goes a bit more attacking and we try and get them on the back foot as they have the pace and players to really worry us. At home we shouldn't be content with just passing for possession sake which is why I want Brunt to play as he can thread through some great passes for Sess and Berahino. Keep the faith guys, let's get the shrine rocking and pray for a good performance ! C O Y B - we normally play better against the good teams.....VARELA to start please Irvine RE: WBA vs Arsenal - Match Thread - BaggieMan - 27-11-2014 I'd also like to see: Foster Gamboa-Dawson-Lescott-Pocognoli Morrison-Gardner Brunt-Sessegnon-Varela Ideye But I'm sure AI will play his usual defensive set-up parking the bus and playing for a point. It would be nice to see a 90min performance by Sess who, annoyingly, seems to go missing for half of any game. RE: WBA vs Arsenal - Match Thread - Baggie_One - 28-11-2014 I would love to see 11 players, wear the top with pride, but agree it needs to be freshened up a bit, so cue Baird at left back RE: WBA vs Arsenal - Match Thread - Zinman - 28-11-2014 At least I'm looking forward to singing "You're getting sacked in the morning" whatever the score! RE: WBA vs Arsenal - Match Thread - Dingle-Dingle - 28-11-2014 The bookies have 3 other managers at lower odds than AFI to be sacked next. Careful; Mark Yates is looking for a job and I wouldn't wish him on anybody; errr perhaps the Vile. ![]() RE: WBA vs Arsenal - Match Thread - Squirrel Regis - 29-11-2014 Fresh faces in the starting 11 and an attacking approach with 100% from every player... Fingers crossed ! RE: WBA vs Arsenal - Match Thread - Zinman - 29-11-2014 Team news, formation and tactics Foster Wisdom. Dawson. Lescott. Poco Mulumbu. Baird Dorrans. Gardner. Brunt Big Vic Plan A. Sit deep and catch Arsenal on the break using our searing pace from midfield. Plan B. Sit deep and if we get the ball, hoof it up to Vic to hold it for a few minutes while one of our "attacking midfielders" gets up in support ( said midfielder to be selected by a game of paper rock scissors. Plan C. Replace Vic with one of Saido,Seas or Brown in the 93rd minute and really go for it using A and B. I'm not optimistic it'll work RE: WBA vs Arsenal - Match Thread - Squirrel Regis - 29-11-2014 Zinman are you really An alias of Irvine ?? Sadly your tactics and selection won't be too far off the reality. Did make me smile though ! Well I'm not a renowned coach with years of experience and success at bringing through young players. So I do have something in common with him. |
