RE: Chesterfield FC Women - spireitematt - 02-04-2022

Has been announced that Chesterfield Women will no longer be the official team and no longer wear the badge and will revert to Chesterfield Ladies because the Trust wanted to take full control of the team and bring it under the same house as the men's team and the Women's board didn't want that so they have decided to go there separate ways which I think is sad.

Sounds to me like the Women's board didn't want the trust to take control of the Women's team. I don't understand why they can't be the official Chesterfield Women's team wearing the badge, kit and representing the club while having a separate board. It makes sense to have separate boards for the teams.

The Women's team is very good and with or without Chesterfield FC they will go places as they have a good squad with good players.
