RE: Guochuan Lai - wba13 - 19-06-2019 Beefy 1965WBA13 yes it was posted on another site ,that's why I put it was posted on another site and financial experts on Twitter are saying the same things. Your opinion of course but the overwhelming opinion of Albion fans and experts a like are simply saying Lai is lying , why say he can't pay the loan back and Chinese government restricts investments ,it's not a investment it a loan that's repayable, What ever the cash flow problems are he has not helped himself by saying this it's complete and utter bollocks !! Ok your opinion matters but this is an overwhelming opinion of people on social media and the press , not by all general Albion fans ,this debt has been around since the Peace days of 2014 and it has only come to light as another tool to beat our currant owners with. Do not get me wrong I do not like the way Lai does his business and wish him gone but how can you or anyone know that Lai said he cannot pay back this loan , we’re anyone from the media in the room when he stated this as fact. RE: Guochuan Lai - Foxman_WBA - 19-06-2019 I kind of understand where you're coming from wba13, in isolation this loan is not a problem. Its just a fictional amount that is rolling around the club, the funds never actually existed, no actual cash has been transferred, taken etc, it was just a way for the chairman to generate more shares. I can see why the remaining shareholders are pissed as its them that have lost out. The amount should have been issued as a dividend accross the board and so a few quid (probably more like £1000's to be honest) to each shareholder is probably owed. However, if you add this to the fact we are pleading poverty that we cant sign players, that we cant afford wages is ludicrous. The amount of income the club generates is insane, add that to the expenses (wages) we are now saving in selling the high earners then we should be perfectly able to spend and survive comfortably, without investment from the owners. Perhaps, the board are just playing it safe and will only buy once we have officially sold all these high earners just incase we cant. However all of the communication from the club does not suggest that and suggests we are being bled dry in terms of cost, but what on? Pretty sure I've said this before, the loan doesn’t appear good and it’s just poor judgement to leave it but the main issue is where is all our income going? RE: Guochuan Lai - Beefy 1965 - 19-06-2019 It gets worse and as WBA13 said maybe it's blown out of proportion however just stating a fact from yesterday Lai is lying about not being able to get the money out of China, Comes to light today that the money is already in the UK. Chris Lepkowski remember him ? great for digging, ex Bham mail etc ... finds out the money is actually well read for yourselves ... Chris Lepkowski@chrislepkowski Back to this... occured to me the £ is owed by WBA Holdings (owned by Lai/Palm) but it is a UK based company whose Registered Office is The Hawthorns and the only Director is Mr P Y Li, also club Chairman. Can't imagine Chinese Govt lets UK companies avoid legal liabilities !!! |
