Yeah I mentioned Glen Taylor several times over the past two or three years. I have got a suspicion he may just be where he wants to be. He is always in the top scorers. Alex Brown's new deal at Buxton would be pretty irrelevant if we wanted him. We'd have to pay the minimal fee that would tempt Buxton. Unfortunately I am not sure John Sheridan knows Alex Brown exists or has the sense to look at who Paul Fairclough scouts for the England C team. Buxton itself is probably just a signpost on the road to Manc' to Sheri.Trotman from Darlington or Freestone, ditched by Peterborough would be decent defensive alternatives. Dior Angus can score goals in non-league and Hannant is a good player brought in under the previous regime from Gateshead. They are free and wouldn't be big wage men. I'm still shaking over Anthony Gerrard ......... surely Haydn Hollis is a better bet? Gerrard could get in a fight in solitary. |
