RE: Fulham away - MNTerrier - 07-11-2014 Also i dont think leeds gave us 2500 tickets did they ? RE: Fulham away - sloppyattheback - 07-11-2014 We could have up to 2700 at Weeds but sadly far too many just dont fancy it (unlike the 80's & 90's when there would have been a stampede for tickets), that's the honest truth. These days it's convenient to hide behind complaining about £34 tickets, their fans being rough, their money going to Bates or the new Mafia bloke, but happily the very same people will spend several hundred £s this weekend on the lash / hotels / rail tickets / taking the missus to London - I know plenty going and this is their first distance away game since QPR. There will be the usual 1000 - 1200 come February for Charlton we always do well there, but half that a fortnight before at Millwall. Unlike some on DATM threads that have been sorting out which pubs for weeks to have a sing song in Putney, I'm delighted to be one of 2600 but its just another town game in the smoke. RE: Fulham away - WakeyTerrier - 07-11-2014 Amazed that so many are making the trip but proud that a club of our size can take this amount to London for what essentially is a game with nothing but 3 points riding on it. ART- 17:28 train tonight, haven't got a scooby doo where I'll be drinking tomorrow before the game though. It seems most will be heading for the first pub they find outside the tube station but I can't really be arsed sharing a pub with about 500 other Town fans...can you imagine how long it'll take to get served! I haven't been to Fulham since that day we lost 3-0 on the last day of the season so let's hope we gain a bit of revenge tomorrow. Word of warning London will be very busy tomorrow, Lord Mayors Show in the morning and the England Egg chasers are at home to New Zealand at Twickers(could be a shortage of bar staff if they all go and watch the All Blacks) so allow plenty of time to get to Fulham RE: Fulham away - sloppyattheback - 07-11-2014 White Horse Parsons Green - cant be doing with Ainley slavering allover me for not joining in and slapping me head ! RE: Fulham away - ARTERRIER - 07-11-2014 I really hope the players don't let us down, it feels like we can't lose, what with the massive away following, we'll suck the ball into the net.......but one thing is for certain with Town, they always have the capacity to let us down. RE: Fulham away - WakeyTerrier - 07-11-2014 Diego Poyet has signed on a months youth loan from West Ham RE: Fulham away - Mitzi - 07-11-2014 (07-11-2014, 18:22)WakeyTerrier Wrote: Diego Poyet has signed on a months youth loan from West Ham At first I thought you meant signed for Fulham! Presumably he played under Powell at Charlton, so they know each other? RE: Fulham away - WakeyTerrier - 07-11-2014 Yes, fetched him from the youth team to the first team at Charlton RE: Fulham away - Amelia Chaffinch - 07-11-2014 I'm going to Oxford and Cambridge for the weekend. It's the first in a long line of things I am doing to celebrate my birthday. : ![]() RE: Fulham away - WakeyTerrier - 07-11-2014 Your missing Fulham to spend the weekend with tourists and tax dodgers....what's the world coming to. |
