RE: Berahino in the England squad - BaggieMan - 06-11-2014

If the 'Big Boys' come in with silly money and he does move away from us, expect him to disappear into the reserves as they tend to play only big money or big name players. It would be a tragedy for Saido to be dispatched into the wilderness like so many other great prospects in the past. He would be well advised to stay with us for a further couple of years to develop but, money talks in this life.

Thanks for the info on the other 'Local Boy' Ska'd

He does come across as a level headed bloke that appears to have loyalty and a love for West Brom, and all the help and guidance they have provided for him. I hope those greed league superstars don't turn his head and he can grow and help the Albion to grow at the same time. We deserve to be in amongst the silverware ........ I have supported the baggies since the early seventies .... we have had plenty of Semi finals but have always falling one hurdle short.

It's not the greed league superstars I worry about. It's his Agent!!!

If I remember correctly his Agent stirred it up a while ago when the lad was reportedly only earning £850 per week.
Some of us pensioners would love to be earning £850 each week.

It must be just me then that was really disapointed with Saido's interview on TalkSport. Our PR dept must be in overdrive this morning finding out just why Berahino said he wants to go to a 'big' club and play in the CL.
Whilst this may well be true, I would have thought that the 'correct' answer to the question about his future would have been something along the lines of:
"helping West Brom, the Club that made it all possible for me, to be successful in the Premier League"

All this hype around Saido is the begining of the end. His form will dip as his ego gets bigger, then he will leave.

...who have we got coming up behind Berahino from the acadamy? Roofe?

RE: Berahino in the England squad - Dingle-Dingle - 07-11-2014

The "Sun" states he is the subject of a transfer battle between Liverpool Manure and Spuds. How can this be ........ He is under contract!! DD Huh Huh

RE: Berahino in the England squad - Squirrel Regis - 07-11-2014

Money talks and if a top 4 club comes in with a big offer he will go.
Sad but true, the only thing for sure is JP will not let him go on the cheap and would have to be a big big offer. £20+ million ?
Fingers crossed we get to enjoy him for a few seasons yet though !

I understand that but surely this is tapping up by indirect means and is illegal by FA rules. DD Angry Angry

Here we go,says now he will most likely have move to ascend to all his ambition. He ain't been in the firtst team five friggin minutes and hes already plotting his escape.

RE: Berahino in the England squad - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 07-11-2014

Not sure whether his supposed crime here is to have big ambitions, or to have admitted them? With English football under an economic stranglehold courtesy of foreign billionaires and dirty UEFA prize money, there is simply no chance Albion will ever play Champions League football unless we overturn about thirty years' worth of financial changes to the sport overnight. If Saido wants to be one of the best then he'll have to move on eventually, but he'll also have to put in some hard work in the meantime, and he'll need to do that as an Albion player.

I'm pretty sure he said as much in the interview, and if he's got his head screwed on, he'll keep on doing what he's doing for the time being and move on with our blessings when the time's right.

Saido - santasabaggie - 07-11-2014
