Hoping Gibbs is fit but would be surprised with how he pulled up in the Liverpool game ![]() RE: WBA vs Southampton - Match Thread - Sir Megson - 02-02-2018 Been some time since I posted on here and needless to say what an occasion tomorrow is going to be. Truth be told either win, lose or draw, I've never felt as motivated as a fan of this football club as I do now. Our last home game against Brighton produced an amazing atmosphere that I had not experience at the shrine for quite some time now, and I expect us to turn the dial up to 11 on atmosphere tomorrow as well. Sold out - even the restricted view seats in the Brummie. Anyone reading on here who possibly doesn't even post and will be going tomorrow. Make sure to sing your heart out for the lads and Cyrille. Our support is the difference between staying up and going down, the players and squad are clearly good enough. Let's make sure we do our part! There's only one Cyrille Regis! RE: WBA vs Southampton - Match Thread - Zinman - 02-02-2018 Everyone in the prediction league championship has gone for an Albion win......we're doomed. Should be a great occasion and a fitting send off for a player who can justifiably be described as a legend. RE: WBA vs Southampton - Match Thread - BaggieMan - 03-02-2018 I will be there Sir Megson viewing a great win for Cyrille RE: WBA vs Southampton - Match Thread - Beefy 1965 - 03-02-2018 Tomorrow’s Premier League clash against Southampton at The Hawthorns is now a sell-out. The game is the first Baggies home match since the passing of Cyrille Regis and the Club will be celebrating the life and career of one of its all-time greats with an hour-long tribute building up to kick-off. Supporters are being urged to arrive inside the stadium to join in the celebrations which begin at 2pm. Our Fanzone will be open as usual but will be a stripped-down version in an effort to encourage fans to take to their seats early. RE: WBA vs Southampton - Match Thread - WBA-Josh - 03-02-2018 GK - Foster RB - Dawson CB - McAuley CB - Hegazi LB - Nyom RM - Phillips DM - Yacob CM - Barry LM - Brunt ST - Sturridge ST - Rondon I'm not sure about Nyom at left back (Poor at left back) and Sturridge (lack of match fitness and probably won't last past 75 minutes) starting but we should still have enough to cause Southampton problems and possibly win. Make Cyrille proud boys. RE: WBA vs Southampton - Match Thread - BaggieSteve - 03-02-2018 Very disappointing to see Evans, Gibbs and Greg all out. Not quite sure why Rodriguez is on the bench, considering he's been our stand out forward recently but, as Josh, says do it for Cyrille. RE: WBA vs Southampton - Match Thread - bomberbrown1968 - 03-02-2018 Stunned that Rod has missed out ![]() Injuries make it look like a very patched up 11 ![]() Now I'm nervous ![]() RIP Cyrille, hope we can do it, just for you today ![]() RE: WBA vs Southampton - Match Thread - Slick_Footwork - 03-02-2018 I was confident earlier, but after seeing our team with the injuries and a few poor selection (IMO), we look the weaker side on paper. Hopefully Rondon is on form and can justify his selection, because it's a bit of a mystery to me how he can be selected in front of Rodriguez after his goals against Everton and Liverpool. That said, Southampton's weakness is at centre half, so maybe his power can disturb them if he's on his game. Just hoping the players really perform today, because on paper that looks like an old, leggy side. A lot will come down to us getting balls into the box. RE: WBA vs Southampton - Match Thread - Beefy 1965 - 03-02-2018 That back 4 looks well slow If Shane Long plays !!! Thought all those injuries would have cleared up ![]() Let's hope the crowd and Cyrille sees us through ![]() |
