RE: Summer Concert - Devongone - 30-01-2018 One thing, I don't think we'll have to worry too much about the terrorist threat, or traffic problems. PC Plod can handle security and Postman Pat should be okay with the ticketing. RE: Summer Concert - spireitematt - 30-01-2018 Tom Jones and Lionel Richie both good singers and some great songs but surely they could get someone who is more aimed at a younger generation too. Could have got Jeremy to play the Proact like he did at Glastonbury. RE: Summer Concert - Devongone - 30-01-2018 CANCEL THE LACK OF TERROR THREAT - this should frighten Pooch:- In recent years, Richie has become a phenomenon in various Arab states, and has performed in Morocco, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Libya. John Berman for ABC News reported in 2006 that "Grown Iraqi men get misty-eyed by the mere mention of his name. 'I love Lionel Richie,' they say. They can sing an entire Lionel Richie song." Berman wrote that Richie said he was told that Iraqi civilians were playing "All Night Long" the night U.S. tanks invaded Baghdad. Richie was against the war, but says he could see a day when he would come and perform in Baghdad. (Above from Wikipedia) - he's only 68 by the way . ONLY!!!!!! And by the way stop getting at Mr Dunford, Pooch. Looks a lot better than The Fat Controller. |
