No, was watching via dodgy stream. RE: Potters v Town - theo_luddite - 20-01-2018 Went for an overpriced pastry with grissle and gravy just before half time. 'Beef pie please love?' 'We've no beef, just meat and potato or steak and ale' she said with a smile ![]() Training opportunity for someone there. ![]() That was our highlight of the match RE: Potters v Town - Amelia Chaffinch - 20-01-2018 Hope they are served on Wedgewood plates. RE: Potters v Town - Lord Snooty - 20-01-2018 Well if last week wasn't a reality check, this one certainly was. Fact is we were never likely to be able to compete with the likes of West Ham and Stoke. We can't really compete with the likes of Brighton and Newcastle. Over a long season like this and playing against seasoned Premier League teams, all we can hope for is to somehow finish just above the bottom three. The opposition we are facing now are a million times better than the teams we played last season. There aren't any bad teams. We have greatly over achieved in the last couple of years. We are punching way above our weight. What we have to do is learn from where we are going wrong technically. Get stronger, be more physical. Get back to the gegenpressing. Get back our identity. The no limits spirit. When we do survive, it will be mainly down to good fortune rather than anything else, just like last season. RE: Potters v Town - theo_luddite - 20-01-2018 They are served on Wedgewood's finest aluminium AmChaff. They don't wake the Stoke fans up when they crash to the floor that way. RE: Potters v Town - sloppyattheback - 20-01-2018 We're goosed and let's not pretend otherwise today confirmed it for me. I would dearly love come May to be so wrong but the writing has been on the wall some time. Wagner set us up wrong with Mounie, Larry Depoitre had to start against their huge defenders. Sadly the whole team was piss poor, passing adrfit, not having the bollox to take on defenders and generally we limped to ht at 0-0 and I hoped we couldnt play as bad 2nd 45. Sadly errors and basically crap passing gave them the chances and they were up for it, I admit but we offered nothing. They wont have an easier afternoon and we handed them the momentum we are so sadly lacking A voiciferous sell out following (1st half) fell quiet as we condeded and the realisation of where this poor run of form is taking us dawned. Stayed to give them my 5 penneth at the end and it was noticeable how few clapped and hopefully it was an unpleasant experience for some of our players who underperformed again today.. Taking off Pritchard, he was lively wasnt playing great keeping Larry warming the bench till 77 just stubborn management. Terrier spirit my arse. RE: Potters v Town - theo_luddite - 20-01-2018 Well if Pritchard is Wagbo's answer to the question of why we don't make enough chances for Mounié or Depoitre, we are still not asking the right or enough questions. We certainly didn't ask Stoke half the questions we asked them at ours. Christmas was, ooooh, ages ago, but we are still handing out presents. If it seems I'm blaming Pritchard, I apologise, it's not his fault. Wagbo give your head a shake. How many free kicks in their half did we get where we played a short ball backwards or sideways and then lost it when we might have lost it in their penalty area with their land of the giants back 2, but who knows if we never put it in there? That's Wagbo's game plan, not the players being stupid. We didn't score again and didn't look like scoring again. Still living the dream though. Red half of Lancastria coming up with the Bluenoses as a sideshow. We go again, but we need to look like we are interested. The side that won so well at Watford is chasing shadows right now and letting the oppo chase us off the ball. To be fair, we didn't plan to get promoted last season, when you look at what other teams had been throwing at it, but it happened. So we are looking at a team that is trying to hold on to the coat tails of sides that have been here for years plus two that came up because they basically bought promotion. If we turn it around, brilliant, if we don't, well what the hell were you expecting anyway? Come on chaps, chins up and give it a go. We might be the wrong side of the trap door after the next two games, but the next five are all against sides that cost more but don't play much better than us. Muck or nettles chaps, but Wagbo, stop arsing around with free kicks and get it in the box. In other news, it was a crap day all round for football fans in West Yorkshire, apart from L666s and Sadfud losing. ![]() RE: Potters v Town - theo_luddite - 21-01-2018 Wagbo post-match with Oggy http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05vk5km |
