He wouldn't get one anyway ,his stock was low before he came to us and his spell with us pushed him to the bottom .He is comfortable and has had a good career.I can't see him getting another job in the league .

Not quite as low as your hero Gary Caldwell though?

As it turns out I was right about Danny,he's not had a job since , but unfortunately his successor was worse !.

Think that was because Danny had been given no investment and had saved us once ........ and probably would have done it again (and in fact nobody was more critical than me of Danny for playing Tommy at Bradford - and driving a nail in his coffin; as we all remember you were still applauding the decision when he was out for the season ........... and who was it who said the decision had already been made that Aaron Chapman wasn't good enough ........ and wouldn't you have liked to see him in goal for us last Saturday rather than Accrington ..........)

And what did your moment of pessimism give us, but Caldwell and Branston? Please stick to optimism - as a pessimist you're a waste of space.

Oh yes and Danny deserved to be treated as the hero of Chesterfield he was, whereas GC was an arrogant twta who thought he was Pep Guardiola.

Danny had a team with a large budget ,it was the one that Deano had put together .Whether he was given the remit to reduce that budget and by how much no one really knows.
One thing ,managing us is the graveyard of managers ,the last 3 will probably not get another job managing in the league again ,although GC is young and in a few years people might forget his stint here and look at his Wigan success and give him another chance .

Does this count as eight reasons, or have you doubled the optimism quotient?

You were just too sexy for your shirt.

As I was saying..... Thanks in advance for the credit lads .

What a funny old game it is .It was a real battling performance and no fluke ,we deserved it .Defence and keeper were excellent .

My MOTM again was Reed who really has found his position sitting in front of the back four ,he not only gets a foot in, his distribution was excellent .

You'd do much better to wait for us to say well done you were right Pooch. YOU WERE RIGHT!

But the good thing about being an optimist is you are glad when you are right. I end up apologising when we get thrashed, our keeper has a stinker and I've predicted it .....

Yesterday's result didn't surprise me, though the doubts over both Dennis and O'Grady were worrying until I read Bob's and how deep a panic they were in over Jack's matter-of-fact revelation of that potential injury-crisis. I thought he was aiming his words at Luton, simultaneously giving them the idea we wouldn't be much of a threat, whilst seeming quite calm and confident in front of his own men.

We often forget that other sides have bad days too and certainly lack total self-belief. I loved the way the Beeb kept stressing Luton had lost Danny Hylton for the game when we were going out with a reserve centre forward, a centre back pairing with no experience and a keeper coming off a game of two howlers ........ (I did think that when their manager was praising the strength of their squad when he fielded 10 reserves against Peterborough was doing the equivalent of protesting too much ......)

Sometimes you win matches, sometimes the opposition loses matches, and both can happen at once.
