RE: No Evatt, What's the Next Step? - Dancingwilldoit - 31-12-2017 You honestly think Jack will get some money to spend Blue ? RE: No Evatt, What's the Next Step? - bluepooch - 31-12-2017 No idea .If a buyer comes in then possibly .Even if that doesnt happen you would think DA would try and secure our league status to protect his investment. RE: No Evatt, What's the Next Step? - Devongone - 31-12-2017 Must say Matt's smoke and mirrors confusion matches my own. A potential buyer NOW, just when money urgently needs to be spent to secure our league status seems too convenient to be wholly credible. If DA does have a buyer, or has invented a buyer, he clearly has no more reason to dive into his pockets, and the buyer won't be able to provide the support we need until it's a done deal ...... which will take how long? If the imaginary buyer pulls out and we go down DA and AC will blame the time-wasters ......... if a real buyer pulls out it will be the same. If we were sold and went down the new and former owner would blame each other - a stand-off. Real or imaginary a buyer is a no-lose for DA and AC. Like Dancing I think Jack might not have a budget, so he'll just be replacing the contracts he decides not to renew. (Or he has to sell someone, and to be fair there are lot of players more in demand in our division than ANY of ours!) Whatever the case we have to ask ourselves why would a decent player commit himself to us.? My only answer is Jack's charisma. Hope he has as much of it to spare as Chesterfield fans think. RE: No Evatt, What's the Next Step? - Dancingwilldoit - 31-12-2017 Whoever the Chinese/Argentinian/North Korean/Shirebrook investors are it will take until after the window has closed for the FL to ratify anybody as fit and proper - oh the irony. Therefore I cant see that DA will stump up anything more. Why would he? I think Jack will have to perform a few minor miracles this window and I bet any money you like any outgoings will be undisclosed and a nice little chunk will find its way into DA's back pocket. RE: No Evatt, What's the Next Step? - bluepooch - 31-12-2017 Theyll probably come to some sort of pre sale agreement that one of the parties stumps up cash for the budget and if the sale goes through the other will re-imburse or will be factored into the sale price .I think this sort of thing is done in these situations .Its in the interest of all parties to do this . So DA stumps up Jack's war chest, the sale falls through for whatever reason, DA ends up even more chained to our even bigger debt than before. Hmmmmm bet he'll love that scenario. Naaaah! RE: No Evatt, What's the Next Step? - Dancingwilldoit - 01-01-2018 Seems Evatts injury isn't as bad as first thought ??? Could be back very soon. Glad my GP doesn't work in football part time. He's been stumping up regularly since hes been here Dev why should this time be any different ? He needs to try and shore up his investment surely . RE: No Evatt, What's the Next Step? - Devongone - 01-01-2018 And not only stumping up, disappearing transfer fees too ......... If DA stumps up he's not going anywhere. RE: No Evatt, What's the Next Step? - Dancingwilldoit - 01-01-2018 If there is a genuine sale there is no way DA will stump up funds for signings. The only way it could happen is that the buyers deposit which is non refundable I understand gets given to JL as a budget but can you honestly see DA allowing that without taking his share? I think you live in a bit of a dreamworld Blue. The only way JL will get money to spend is by off loading. Most of our players wouldn't be of interest to other clubs so it will be bye bye Dennis and probably Rowley as they are the only 2 that would command a fee. |
