I’m very optimistic and like Pardew. The players will enjoy training now and will definitely be allowed to attack. We have been defending quite badly this season and weren’t allowed to attack under Pulis. Tweak the defence and get on the front foot.

It will be better than what we’ve had for the last 2 seasons.

Welcome to WBA Alan. Boing Boing

Well he's here now and of course we have to get behind him. He needs to address the culture of fear at the club that cause us to lose one lead after another and surrender so many points. We ought to be well out of trouble. Hats off to the board for making a quick decision.
Is he any good? Time will tell. The only certainty is that in the next 12 months Alan Pardew will do very nicely financially thank you and if we get relegated it will be the board's fault for the lack of ambition. At least that what he'll say when interviewed for the next job.
I honestly believe that there are blokes on this forum that could manage our football club as well as some of these zillionaires.

I hope know one is to negative on here,
Yes Pardew comes across arrogant at times,
But his CV isn't all bad guys,

Alan Pardew got Newcastle to 5th in the Premier league and won manager of the year for 2012? The same bloke got to two FA Cup finals and a League Cup final, The same bloke got Newcastle into Europe? Already preconceived views and ideas condemn him,not so much on here but some off Twitter and .com are unbelievable,
He would be far from my choice as the above points out he has success as well as rough times , what manager doesn't unless you get in the Champion League ?

Also fair to point out he likes to attack something we have been craving for, have you seen his interview, came across really well,

It's about time we get a united front off the pitch as well as on it, ride the storm and hope for some good times,
At least it wont be Fozzie in Goal and a 8-0-2 Formation
Enjoy the ride Thumb up

I stick to my previous opinion on head coaches/managers. Who they are
and what they do or say is of no importance whatsoever. They don't
make tackles; they don't score goals; they don't make saves. It's the
PLAYERS that are the team. The owners; trainers; physios; coaches
boot boys; tea ladies, etc, etc do not play football they just make the
whole deal more complicated. I just hope the team can deal with all
this peripheral mumbo-jumbo.

RUGBY UNION:
England under Stuart Lancaster - absolute shambles, total under achievers
England under Eddie Jones - 100% different; (is it) 22 wins from 23 games (so change is almost immediate) ....starts with same players available.

er...Rugby Union being referenced to Football
One is green jelly the other is blancmange
I think.

RE: Official Pardew new WBA manager !! - drewks - 29-11-2017

..er.....so coaches, managers can influence ONE ball sport hugely,  but not another one?
I'm pretty sure in rugby as in football, " they don't make tackles; they don't score goals; they don't make saves.  It's the PLAYERS that are the team."

Don't get that at all.
Hey ho
