Dropped below Everton on goal difference. Sad

But at the start of the season you were told that at the start of December we would be 5 pts above the bottom 3 and level with Everton, you'd have taken that, surely. Well I would.

Was in the ground just in time to see Arsenal score the first one. Thought we did OK at frustrating them and occasionally hitting them on the break. Hell, we had a shot on target, how often does that happen.
They upped the pace a bit in the 2nd half but we managed to keep in it. Then Super Col had a shot saved and suddenly, in the space of 2 or 3 minutes it all went pear shaped and tits up. Still, it was a free hit for 90 minutes and e were OK for about 70 of them.

Thats was pretty poor tonight, seems DW changed the team with Everton in mind
3 goal s in 5 mins isnt great whatever the circumstances, without doubt there are gumblings now about our away performances and set up.

A sell out 3004 following we didnt really expect anything other but we have to take the game to the opponents at some point.

Arsenal fans in the boozers after we met creaming over our support and volume but that alone doesnt keep us up.

We have to eventually set up to have a real go and not just contain which we obviously cant do.

So, on the bright side........You never know when a new arse hole, like the one we were ripped in the second half, might come in handy some day!  Big Grin

After all the soft penalties we concede, it's no surprise then when Mounie gets bundled over in the box and the ref gives nowt. Doh

I don't think it was a penalty on Mounié (haven't seen MOTD) but it was more of a penalty than what Arsenal got on Sunday.

No major complaints - first goal was a poor one to concede, 3 centre halfs and Lacazette has all the time in the world in front of goal. After that we managed them quite well although I felt they were taking the piss a bit. Second half we started very well - Col forced a good save, we forced Cech into a near OG, had a couple of corners and pressed them into mistakes. We messed up at the back though (Hogg I think) and then the 2nd killed us, with an unfortunate collapse seeing it finish 5-0. First hour or so the game plan was about right, it's too naive to say we should just 'get at' these sort of teams - we can't do that.

Looks like Dave made the changes with Everton in mind - seeing as they hit some form last night it might be a good thing we've a few players rested and just had a rocket up us. Minimum 4 points required from these next 2 games as we're slumping a little at the minute.

Haven't seen MOTD yet, probably won't. At the time it looked like he'd been knocked horizontal and was worth a good shout from the wrong end. Having seen it on SSN, I think the ref got it right.
