RE: WBA vs Man City - Match Thread - Worldclassalbion - 28-10-2017 Pulis has a plan and plays his master stroke! McClean, Phillips, Chadli and Brunty on the bench. Our most potent attackers and player with the killer pass all watching like me!!! What a complete Stroker this man is!! RE: WBA vs Man City - Match Thread - drewks - 28-10-2017 "We'll approach it a little bit different to normal," said Tony Pulis. Hmmmmm. Can't wait ![]() (28-10-2017, 15:08)WBA-Josh Wrote: I know who I'LL be supporting next week RE: WBA vs Man City - Match Thread - BaggieSteve - 28-10-2017 Not an ounce of creativity or pace to support two totally ineffective "strikers". Good team, Tony. I just hope we are moving inexorably to the end of his time at the Hawthorns. Meanwhile we can all look forward to today's post match excuses; it'll be nothing, of course, to his selection or tactics. RE: WBA vs Man City - Match Thread - Beefy 1965 - 28-10-2017 Oh look a back 8 Oh look 3 defensive Midfielders Oh look no wingers Oh look no pace Oh look I give up
RE: WBA vs Man City - Match Thread - valpayne - 28-10-2017 10 for 2 oh sorry I was talking cricket there ![]() and its started already but credit for getting one back so quick RE: WBA vs Man City - Match Thread - WBA-Josh - 28-10-2017 To be fair to TP this is the way to play against Man City. Defend deep when city have the ball in midfield and try to make the most of what possession we have especially with balls in behind City's high line. Where TP goes very wrong however is that we play this same way against every team. With more balanced tactics we would beat more teams and not be in this shit. Stoke, Swansea and West Ham all winning. As it stands, we are now down to 16th. I agree, Josh, I could live with this approach if we hadn't basically seen it at Southampton last week and at Brighton earlier in the season. He's just changed HRK for Rondon but why on earth didn't he put some pace into team - McLean or Phillips. By the way, is Burke still injured or has Pulis not picked him again? RE: WBA vs Man City - Match Thread - silverbaggie - 28-10-2017 Oooops sorry was commenting on photo 2 by mistake. Photo one now:- Extreme left Derek Hogg, players just to left of mascot were Derek Kevan and Ronnie Allen and on right of mascot Joe Kennedy. Burnside and Maurice Setters would have been playing around that time but, can't recognise them from the photo. Who was the goalie?? possibly Jock Wallace? I think it might be Ray Potter, he's one from the left. I think Don Howe is standing to his left but could be wrong |
