If it was a topic about League games being moved due to TV coverage, I'd of had a lot more to say as that is the biggest pisstake in football at the moment for those that go to all home and away games. Love a Saturday 3pm kick off and too many games being moved away from that imo.
With internationals there simply has to be breaks and I cannot see clubs in either Premier League or Championship getting behind a move to scrap the international breaks either regardless of number of players.
Went to watch the Walsall game yesterday myself and will probably use future international breaks to tick off some of the 92 I haven't visited so far from league 1 and lower.
A break from watching the Albion isn't always a bad thing, still seething from conceding against Watford to chuck two points away tbh

Would the smug arses at Football League Office take any notice if fans "went on strike"? I doubt it. They probably wouldn't give it a thought. They've set themselves up into a position where, so long as they can show a whopping great profit in their Balance Sheet, it's fait accompli, because Turnstile Receipts is virtually insignificant (compared to TV Revenue) - and they probably earn a whopping great bonus linked to Revenue.
Suppose that Supporters Clubs actually managed to unite for a Strike (ie stayed away one weekend as protest). Very very unlikely because true fans would rather go without Beer for a Year than miss a match! The Football League would just pretend it hadn't happened and they'd be able to show their resolve to Sky, saying "we're right behind you".
What it needs is for Supporters Clubs to urge fans to stop subscribing to Sky. There was what I thought was a big drive towards that 20 years ago but, one-by-one people have given in and bought Sky.
Sky has ruined Football especially for real fans like Sir Megson, but it's up to us all to show our disgust by cancelling subscription, and taking the ugly aerial dishes to the Recycle Tips.

Glad to say I don't subscribe to any Sports package and the only thing I pay is the TV licence, although I do that grudgingly as I know part of that ends up in Linekers pocket on his ridiculous wage for Match of the Day.

BT Sport is a decent package to have if you're into watching football outside of the UK such as German, French, Italian and Brazilian football like I am. However it is also trying too hard to be like Sky especially with the money they pump into the Premiership and Champions League.

My point being if you had 3 or players called up then no league game - less, than game is on as most teams have a decent squad, and it gives youngsters a chance. Cos I prefer league to Internationals.

Old article but demonstrates what folks have already said. Pretty much all Premier League teams are made up completely of international calibre players who very likely will be called up. Only Swansea on that old list would fit inside the 3 players or less criteria.
International football and it's associated breaks are here to stay, the only likely change will be fewer but longer breaks. Use the time to take in some lower and non league football if the internationals aren't your thing
