RE: NEW CEO - Dancingwilldoit - 07-10-2017 Strange one. Sat in the middle of Catalonia and everything is normal, life goes on. See pictures of Barcelona on TV and it looks like Franco's back again. The rest of Spain are having a "Unity Day" today but not in Catalunya? How long before Spain has 2 International Football Teams? Then there's the Basques. They are all just sat quietly in the wings waiting their chance. Its nice to see somewhere else has the same problems as us at home. RE: NEW CEO - Devongone - 07-10-2017 When you see what has gone down in Catalonia, which I didn't think was the most militant of Spain's regions, you have to wonder about Scotland's hopes for independence and immediate admittance into the European Union. As Scotland would need unanimous agreement amongst the 27 to join, this all only confirms how unlikely Spain would be to agree and give further credibility to their own separatist movements. And any other member states with strong regional identities would feel the same. RE: NEW CEO - Dancingwilldoit - 07-10-2017 Problem here is that part of Catalunya is in the South of France. I can see some real issues even if Spain allow it to happen. Old Nic Sturgeon has been sticking her oar in as well saying how it would be good for both Spain and Catalunia citing Scotland as an example !! She really should learn when to keep her mouth firmly shut. |
