We were hanging on a bit there but at least we've gone into the break with a lead. In other news, Berahino has just missed a pen for Stoke.

Very true, Salop. That Richarlison looks really dangerous down that side.
Some terrible play from Rondon since his 5 minute spell, as well. I was all for bringing Brunty back, but his distribution has been very poor.

I'm going to regret writing this, but I xxxx hate the xxxx Albion

But yet another poor decision from the ref has cost us
Never a fool leading to the free kick !!

It's 2 points dropped because TP hasn't learnt from his past mistakes. We can't try to hold onto a 1 goal lead for 35 minutes with 10 men behind the ball and Rondon having to battle against 2 defenders at a time. It simply doesn't work and the more defensive we became, the more dangerous Watford became.

The first half was good and we deserved our 2 goal lead. The 4-4-2 shape worked and we looked good at times. Then Watford scored their first and our balanced style of play became more defensive as the game went on. There are good positives to take away from the game (Krychowiak and Gibbs' performances, our forward play in the first half and the better balance to the team before the substitutions) but as usual plenty of negatives as well, some of which are the result of the Head Coach and his decisions.

Sorry, Josh, but I can't think of 1 positive. I can't give any player more thaan 4/10. (Maybe The Pole).

Pulis on WM saying he thought we played 'really really well' at times. You what mate?

As disappointing as this was, and as frustrating as it is that we can't seem to close out games despite that apparently being one of Pulis's specialities, at least it was an entertaining game for once. At least I experienced an emotion other than complete boredom, unlike the West Ham game. That's about the only positive I can think of.
