RE: Carabooboo Cup- Second Round - jjamez - 24-08-2017 Think snoots has it. The new guys all didnt have great games but each showed signs of something to work with. Think we're a little bit blessed with lossl, hus distribution is second to none and coleman looked ponderous in comparison, last season he'd have been ok as ward was much the same. Hef looked rusty and doesn't seem to like having a player out of position next to him, needs someone to keep his head on the game. Williams looked promising, few shakey moments, needs phil bil to work on throw ins with him. Whitehead showed each and every single year of his age, its caught up to him. Malone looks good back up to lowe, be interesting to see him in our stronger side. Williams d was solid and looks like he can play multiple roles in the midfield, just not sure which suits him just yet. Billing was a class apart when he came on, looks more like the midfielder he's shown promise of being. Lolley for me looked out of place. Had a good 10/15 mins but was otherwise anonymous, seems to lack that footballing brain. Colin looked ok on the ball, but lacking off it, no real help tracking back at times and for a lad his size, doesnt seem to win much against full backs or wingers. Palmer for me is looking like what billing did the other year. Shows signs of class, can breeze past players, but I think he sometimes tries something too fancy, either a piece of skill or a incisive pass, probably too eager to impress at the moment. Depoitre, kinda disappointed that we couldn't get him into the game much, some of his touches when the ball was fired up to him were great, but didn't win many headers, but I think he'd have more luck against more technical defenders who have focused more on the passing aspect rather than the meat and drink of winning headers. I think he just needs that one goal and everything will start to click. |
