And Scotland 'turning blue' based on a false analogy that it will be similar to the local election results. The SNP have not exactly hit any 'meltdown' up here btw. So cut out the false premise that the Tories will somehow swamp the vote in the general election - absolute garbage and god forbid if my fellow country men/women vote this divisive group of people to ever get near to governance in Scotland. The SNP vote has 'held steady' even in the face of this shitty media campaign/onslaught - something all Scots have previously observed with great derision and it's an absolutely disproportionate disgrace in a country that professes democratic values- a f###### joke. And btw re UKIP, I spit at this hugely politically damaging creation of a populist party and that goes for it's xenophobic b###### of a founder, Farage. If I could go back in time and destroy it in some way, I would do it!!!
I read a poll that 49% want to remain with Britain. 40% want independence and 12% are unsure.

After independence the scottish people can vote for whoever they want,and i'll work with that....because the alternative is decades of tory rule and westminster.

Labour should be pro-self-determination. If Scottish people want independence then I'm for them having that opportunity. Of course I would also like them to be considering "leaving" a country which was offering every opportunity and voice they currently lack ......
Unlike Themaclad, as a lifelong Labour supporter, I know of almost no Labour MPs I particularly want to hear, want to go out of my way to support or whose performance I would applaud. The party is weighed down with careerist dumbfkucs who deserve to lose, and whose machinations against Corbyn have proved how incapable they would be in government or any proper job!
The EU has never and can never come to terms with the contradiction between nation statehood and ever-closer union. It will fall apart in under ten years. And IMO that it is one lead balloon Scotland would well-advised to avoid tying itself to.
As for the May assertion that she needs a strong hand for Brexit negotiations, it is just a chimera, a mirage at best, a lie at worst. The EU doesn't negotiate, it bullies. Ask Greece, Switzerland, Denmark, Ireland ...... It wants UK money, but doesn't care about too much about us. If May doesn't cough up billions on terms sight unseen there won't be much negotiating. If she's true to herself we'll leave in 2 years on World Trade Terms. Deals will happen later once we're no longer a member because the other 27 will no longer worry whether we're getting something they're missing .......
In terms of Brexit this election is a total irrelevance. Anybody but Nick Clegg could achieve a no deal! It doesn't matter how strong a negotiator you are and how large your majority. But the election will be fought and won upon this illusion! Labour's manifesto and policies won't matter a cat fart. Theresa May won when she said was going to be a bloody difficult woman.
And if Scotland wants to do anything about it, I'd suggest Nicola Sturgeon spending a month in England campaigning for Labour ....... because 59 Scottish seats will only become relevant if there's political earthquake in England. Nicola we need you!

The NLP need someone like Nicola but that 'leader' does not exist for them at the mo. I suspect once this NLP 'smokescreen' of having a good chance of winning the June election is dispelled beyond doubt, Corbyn consequently resigns and I'd bet a wad of money on David Milliband appearing as a front runner to lead the party. As for the NLP in Scotland, their leader, like previous 'lightweights', is a total 'tool' who has frequently hit Corbyn with verbal criticisms/barbs!! If I was leading the NLP, Kezia Dugdale would've been removed in no uncertain terms quite a while ago and she would've deserved it!! She should be 'falling on her sword' at the third time of asking anyway - a useless erse of a woman with no wowww factor whatsoever. The Tories have effectively taken up Scot Labour's opposition status which is an absolute disgrace in a country with a socialist culture that is so far away from crass Tory values with a callousness that is practised with impunity!!

I was going for a loan deal on Nicola 0762 ....... (It is wrong, as many English say that the SNP has no policies other than independence. They did steal a lot of Labour's clothes, but the policies are real and Labour did deserve to have them stolen.)
Jeremy Corbyn is a decent man who has largely remained true to himself despite 40 years spent in a world of corruption and deceit, but he isn't a natural leader. Mr McDonnell is a much tougher man, but he too lacks charisma. (I also have thought David Millipede would reappear, but he'd have to be an MP to become leader I think. And there aren't any safe Labour seats. So if Jeremy falls on somebody's sword I'm afraid it might be Yvette Cooper next and she married Ed Balls!)
At lunchtime I heard Farage (pptttttaaaaahhh) almost repeating what I said about the EU bullying not negotiating. Interestingly I think I was almost quoting Yanis Varifakis the former Greek Finance Minister .....
By the way don't forget there's been a long history of rich "Scots" mostly of English extraction voting Tory and a tradition of deference has co-existed alongside Scotland's Socialist culture. It is no accident that the Royal family spend a third of their lives in Scotland. And they do change peoples' outlook just by being there.

I must say that if the indigenous Scottish vote had been the only vote in 2014 we would've been an independent country pushing on in another direction but still trading with the UK, no doubt. As for the Royal Family, I think Lizzie has done very well out of the state and I don't think Scots in general have any 'axe to grind' with her/them apart from the 'privilege issue' and the patronage that attracts the 'hangers on' esp from the relative privileged groups of people. However, I think her/their dynasty is almost over and I'd expect lots n lots of people in England to object to 'more of the same' with a next generation of royals - no way and I'm all for a federalist revolt with the main focus on downgrading of status, property and public funding!! The ever loyal Tories will attempt to block it but I'd like to see the 'will of the people' prevail on this issue.

The Beast is a brilliant heckler. His stance during the Miners' Strike showed his honesty, but he has been even more of an outsider than Corbyn, so in positive terms beyond Bolsover he hasn't done a whole lot except make people laugh at the Palace of Varieties .........
It was still the greatest heckle of all time when his voice interrupted Cecil Parkinson giving a speech in the House with his hand in his trouser pocket, "Stop playing wi' yerself!" Cecil then of course couldn't take his hand out of his pocket because that would be admitting it ......... and leaving it in there was going to attract every eye in the Chamber to his groin and the laughter would simply continue throughout his speech. An unstoppable Ronaldo-style free-kick.

Theresa may and hubby on the one show was positively nausea inducing.
Im sure her husband referred to her as "Theresa may" at one point,in between them telling us how he puts rubbish in a bin and are ok with fox hunting.
