RE: ST Sales - Devongone - 24-04-2017

As I've often said everything that happens to us good or bad is down to DA and his family.

Unfortunately it is like Russia being tied to Putin.

He is the club; you aren't, the fans aren't, the manager isn't, and nor are the players. No wonder Bob's Board is poisonous. DA is the only one that matters and maybe the only one who can guarantee us a better team next season.

Anderson's success or failure is so marginal it is irrelevant. He gets sent off and gives away penalties, so he's clumsy and reckless. Sometimes he plays well. Is that worth getting rid of your own centre back for? Is he appreciably better? Does he even want to stay? Is he even much younger? If we'd got a Rio Ferdinand for a season I could see the point, but we had just as good on our own books ....... A stupid decision from Danny that GC hasn't even questioned.

Blue, do you know for fact we have never been late with payments to HMRC because that's not what I have heard.
Just for the record we have been relegated BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE. Nothing - absolutely nothing can put any gloss on that and the fact that under Caldwell the fans have witnessed some of the worst performances ever seen from a Chesterfield side and that's saying something.
There will come a point when DA says enough is enough. He can keep the ground and let the Football Team go. Its only him keeping us on life support there will come a time very soon when he switches the plug off.

What split the ground from the football team so there separate entities? Let the football club go into administration and keep the ground knowing that you will get more money for it as the land will be worth more?

RE: ST Sales - Dancingwilldoit - 24-04-2017

The land and stadium is worth money Matt. The football club is losing lots of money. Just do the maths.

He would get his money back and then some.

1,Good performances from young promising players like Rowley ,Mitchell ,Maguire and Faupala. Mitchell - Really? Faupala has done bog all, strikers are supposed to score goals. Caldwell had no option than to play our youngsters the loanees he brought in were so crap.
2,His teams try to play an attractive brand of football this is backed backed up by Wigan fans and it was good yesterday. We lost 2-1 and he was sacked by Wigan
3,Stuckmann . Mmmmm saved 2 pens and gave away 2 pens, also given away some sloppy goals that were his fault Cant find his own players with his kicks.
4,He has recruited a recruitment guy to replace the previous recruitment guy who your mate Wilson got rid of because him and Morgan could do it between them . This is a positive? Look what he did for Notts County
5,He always talks like his knowledge of the game is good and has a modern approach to the game ,he says he knows what is required to turn it around. Talk talk talk if he managed as well as he talked we wouldn't be bottom of the league with 2 wins since he came
6,He is being proactive by bringing them back early for pre season training. They have all had extra holidays the last 3 months
7,It looks like he intends to have a major cull of the dross that is here now. Good luck with that, dross out = dross in
8 He knows the budget wont be big and he is still happy with the challenge . Its going to be even less than he thinks unless somebody buys the club.
Dancing ,The club will only be in serious trouble if everyone thinks like you and stops going . Blue the whole current set up stinks all the way from the top. Its not the club I have supported for years, its something alien (or Allen). In our 150th year we are going backwards, alienating fans and playing piss poor football. Why should I give them another £700 to put in DA's family coffers?

RE: ST Sales - Devongone - 25-04-2017

Oh dear Dancing, your responses to Pooch's positive outlook are genuinely depressing, more so because they are in line with my own feelings about the club at this moment. I always hope being so far away I'm getting the wrong end of every stick, but at the moment every available stick seems to be being applied to those who least deserve it - loyal fans.

Pooch is a good bloke, who I like a lot, but I'm baffled by his re-writing of recent Caldwell history. Jeff Stelling just saw off Dave Jones from Hartlepool on a record of 13 points from 17 games - 12 from 18 and the machinations behind the scenes at Chesterfield suggest Jeff should be approached to pen us an impassioned plea too. I don't want us to be a sacking club, but offered the choice of The Hump and Evatt, OR GC and Pickle I don't think many fans would hesitate. BUT I fear The Hump and Evatt may be finding out they are deadwood in a few day's time.

Why would youngsters be brought into the fold of the first team every week and the one who has been most successful, without whom our junior sides have hardly been able to score for two seasons, can't make the bench of a team that has scored only 13 goals in 18 games? Are we selling Ricky German, sacking him, how does he improve without playing? Is Dan Jones his mentor? Come on this is getting ridiculous.

Ched Evans' proposed transfer - no mention of it or him on our website. It's on the Beeb FFS! What are fans supposed to make of that level of communication? How long has this been brewing? The length of his ever-lasting injury? Don't crock him, he's worth £500K. How can you expect fans to tip up money for season tickets when a veil of secrecy is cast over the whole club. TRUST US? Hughie Green was more genuinely sincere.

The trouble with credibility is once it has gone that's the end of it. The gradual demise of the club since our abject failure even to contest the play-offs has slowly exposed the Emperor's new clothes. DA's credibility is running on empty despite the good times he's also given us. We don't trust him, so we can't trust the Rumpboard either, or the man they appointed as manager when he tries to paint the green shoots of victory on to another defeat.

I think we are on our way out of the league, if not existence.

RE: ST Sales - bluepooch - 26-04-2017

Obviously I am basing my optimism on what I think will happen next season and not what has happened so far .Time will tell who is right and I know I am in the minority .I am awaiting the retained list with excitement in the hope that it is very small.

RE: ST Sales - Devongone - 27-04-2017

But Pooch mate looking to the future is exactly what you are NOT doing. You keep telling us about football philosophy, the record at Wigan and the brand of football somewhere in evidence during Mr Caldwell's ten defeats. All that's now or the past.

The future is we can't buy anyone unless DA opens his wallet and why would he?
The future is we're selling our most skilled player for pretty much a pittance and getting NO-ONE in return.
The future is we are losing the inconsistent contribution of Jay O'Shea for nothing.
The future looks to be getting rid of the invisible Ricky German the only one in the club knows where the nets are.
Our Development Officer might be brilliant, but he has NO history of success to give us confidence.
The man in day-to-day charge next season looks as though he'll have achieved 2 wins in 19 attempts this season.
We are very close to having no Board and seem to be taking no steps towards getting one.
Our Chairman has declared himself temporary.
Our owner says he wants to sell us, but says he is taking no realistic steps to do so.
Our owner says he is taking no part in the running of the club, yet every important decision seems to involve him.
Our owner is adamant he'll never become Chairman again.
We are massively in debt to our owner.
Our stadium will increase our debt when crowds shrink further in Division 2.

A wasp trapped in a sealed jam jar with a lighted candle has a better future.

The future is we can't buy anyone unless DA opens his wallet and why would he. (We have hardly ever paid money for a player under DA.)
The future is we're selling our most skilled player for pretty much a pittance and getting NO-ONE in return. (If you mean Ched we made a profit of 500k)
The future is we are losing the inconsistent contribution of Jay O'Shea for nothing. (Inconsistent is the key word and we are saving a decent wage hopefully to bring a more consistent player in .)
The future looks to be getting rid of the invisible Ricky German the only one in the club knows where the nets are. (How many has he scored for the first team ?)
Our Development Officer might be brilliant, but he has NO history of success to give us confidence. (He knows how to use Powerpoint Tongue )
The man in day-to-day charge next season looks as though he'll have achieved 2 wins in 19 attempts this season. (As stated before he needs to be judged next season)
We are very close to having no Board and seem to be taking no steps towards getting one. (No idea whats happening behind the scenes so cant comment .)
Our Chairman has declared himself temporary. (So this will change soon ?)
Our owner says he wants to sell us, but says he is taking no realistic steps to do so. (Says he is going to advertise us worldwide if he cannot get a local buyer )
Our owner says he is taking no part in the running of the club, yet every important decision seems to involve him. (Again cant comment as I am not privy to what goes on behind the scenes so cannot comment on what he does and doesn't do.)
Our owner is adamant he'll never become Chairman again. (Fair enough ,he has said things before and done different )
We are massively in debt to our owner. (Might be better than owing outside bodies like HMRC)
Our stadium will increase our debt when crowds shrink further in Division 2. (Then DA needs to act or risk losing more even money)

A wasp trapped in a sealed jam jar with a lighted candle has a better future.

Ive responded in brackets Dev because I dont know how to colour it in on this chuffin Google laptop.
