RE: Easter matches thread, Preston (H) and Derby (A) - SHEP_HTAFC - 13-04-2017 Great double thread Snoots Really not sure about these 2 games. We need a win v Preston to avenge our humping against them earlier on this season. But I think it will be a draw. And away v Derby I can't see us getting anything. A draw is the best I can hope for. Overall, with Newcastle playing Dirty L666s we might still be 3rd or worst 4th.....but I don't think it'll be a good weekend. Hope I'm wrong. RE: Easter matches thread, Preston (H) and Derby (A) - Lord Snooty - 13-04-2017 Lightning McQueen is going to be at Canalside tomorrow. RE: Easter matches thread, Preston (H) and Derby (A) - themaclad - 13-04-2017 1700 on the way from our side of the border RE: Easter matches thread, Preston (H) and Derby (A) - Lord Snooty - 14-04-2017 Unbelievable ref. RE: Easter matches thread, Preston (H) and Derby (A) - theo_luddite - 14-04-2017 Breathtaking that. Left me breathless, and that were only t'walk from Red Doles to t'ground and back. Bostin 3 points ower kid RE: Easter matches thread, Preston (H) and Derby (A) - themaclad - 14-04-2017 Nine hour rant on the way in respects of the penalty, don't think he saw the alleged stamp, liner didn't, if it's violent conduct then should be a card of some description, bizarrely no actual complaints about the result we were shite but to have a point snatched away liike that it's annoying RE: Easter matches thread, Preston (H) and Derby (A) - theo_luddite - 14-04-2017 Keith Andrews doing punditry on Sky. 1. Didn't we put a bid in for him once? 2. That has to be a syrup surely? His mum would have been proud of that perm or even his gran. He can't be married, no way would a wag of even moderate ambitions let a bloke of hers out with that on his head!!!! After giving a yellow it could only be a penalty. RE: Easter matches thread, Preston (H) and Derby (A) - Lord Snooty - 14-04-2017 Absolutely the correct decision for the penalty by the way. We had it against us a few years ago when Paul Rachubka did similar at Barnsley. About time we had a decision like that go in our favour. Anyway, apart from the exciting finish, what a cracking match. I can't see how anybody would say we didn't deserve the three points. Wasn't our best performance of the season and Preston were well organised and could well be a contender next season. So moral decision for tonight. Do we want Newcastle to win? Or the unthinkable, Leeds to win? RE: Easter matches thread, Preston (H) and Derby (A) - theo_luddite - 14-04-2017 He being Hugill, the Leeds Fan moaning it wasn't a push was correct. It was a stamp you numb'un. Why else would Kachunga go down holding his foot??? RE: Easter matches thread, Preston (H) and Derby (A) - sloppyattheback - 14-04-2017 Strange game, we dominated possesion as we do but didnt do enough offensively as usual to push home that advantage. Worldy from McGeady, hesitant keeping in the build up to the cross by Ward which lead to Hughill nodding home what looked like an equaliser, I rate that young lad the few times I've seen him. Rest of the game we knocked it around, VLP again unable to delivery anything of real worth and suprised Scanz didnt get 15 mins. Certainly around us no-one saw the incident appears Hef made a song & dance to the officials so someone had seen something, then a delay while their keeper scratched his nuts & did his hair, thought Mooy put it at a good height and well Quaner full credit he moved quickly to be in a position to fire home the loose ball and 3 points, Bobs your uncle ! Billing out with a groiner for a bit, vital points to practically secure a play off but I want to see us more clinical, tyring to be enterprising instead of safe some times, that's what we're missing from Palmer and or Brown currently. Hogg excellent today Smith providing the assist to Payne at which point I felt we needed another as we always have a mistake in us to give the opponent hope, like today. The travelling Nob Enders didnt take it too well bit of hand bags outside the away end and up to the coaches after a few carted away for not controlling their disappointment. |
