Mulumbu for 175k: 191 games, 15 goals

I'd actually defy anyone to find four better bargain signings made by a single manager this century (with Ashworth's input, of course).  Shame it never worked out for Pedro Pele and Sherjill MacDonald, but you can't win 'em all  Laugh

I'd certainly add Graham Dorrans (£100k?) to that impressive list - although he didn't reach quite the heights that he promised early on

Yeah, that's fair. Dorrans was 100k, 154 games, 21 goals. It was those five players who gave us promotion in 2010, basically. For survival the following year you have to add Odemwingie and Scharner to the mix (take them away and we'd have dropped like a stone in a very tough dogfight that season), but these guys stayed in or around the very core of the team from 2009-2014. It'll definitely be looked back on as their era at Albion.

Jonas Olsson, you're a good 'un, a great pro and fully deserve the praise being given.

Farewell with our blessing, our memories and our best wishes wishes for the future.

Thumb up

Great player and it's a shame to see him go but it's probably the right time for everyone. Terrific for someone to stay at one club for the 9 best years of his career, I don't know if anyone could find out, but he must be one of the higher appearance makers for us of the foreign players. We'll miss him.
