players pick club over country as thats where the money is, 100k playing for a club plus other bonuses or a standard match fee that gets donated to charity on most occasions

I know the words but I don't sing them. I ain't singing a song in honour of the head woman of a bunch of German dwarfs. Even Phil the Greek has a good line of German blood in his vains. Doesn't stop me wanting any England team or one representing all The Home Countries from winning or make me less passionate about them. Change the anthem to one about the country, I might join in.

Scotty Arfield is now Canadian and despite being a Scottish u21 international in his time with us, tonight he'll be playing against Scotland.
I never knew he'd moved. Got six caps already. Qualified through his dad who was born there.

Club every time....almost.
Town in a middle table nothing game at end of season or England in World Cup Final....I might just take England to win first.

RE: The international break - Lord Snooty - 22-03-2017

England playing some nice stuff first half......when it doesn't matter.......again. Rolleyes

The one star on the England badge looks a bit pathetic next to the four on Germany's.

RE: The international break - SHEP_HTAFC - 23-03-2017

Germany have only ever won the World Cup once also.
West Germany won the other 3.....

Good point, Shep. Thumb up

Cracking goal to win it though from the boy Pools kind. I know that's not his name. That's what my phone changed it to so I left it as it was. Whistle Rolleyes Laugh Doh Sad

Auto-correct - as much use as a chuffin chocolate fireguard Laugh

Last night's match was so interesting I fell asleep and thanks to our murdering Muslim wassock from down the road here I haven't seen the goal yet.
