RE: TERRIERS v BREWERS - Lord Snooty - 01-04-2017

Kachunga and Wells both on the bench. Quaner, Lolley and Payne all start. Back four as expected. Whitehead in the Hogg role.

RE: TERRIERS v BREWERS - jjamez - 01-04-2017

Quaner starts, wells and kach on bench

Brewers playing the same way they did at home. Frustrate first, waste time 2nd, kick owt that moves third.

That were bloody awful. What a bunch of arse Burton are. Angry

Well, well, well, that was utterly garbage. They frustrated us from the first minute but jeesh we were poor. A few of them need to look in the mirror and ask whether they want to be premier league footballers or even championship footballers.

Ward 5- such a ponderous goalkeeper, never knows what to do with the ball and costs many breaking opportunities.

Smith 6- didnt have a great game but looked decent enough
Schindler 6- solid enough for most of the game
Hef 6- same as schindler
Lowe 7- probably motm solid both fronts, hopelessly isolated on their goal whilst on a booking

Whitehead 5- started showing his age, shame he didnt when he got sent off. Nipped in a few times though
Mooy 6- didnt influence the game much, teams seem to have a gameplan for him now

Lolley 4- thats being kind, no right foot, offers no width and goes way too central. Looked off pace too. Didnt offer much. League one next season.
Payne 5- not sure what position he is and I dont think he does, showed a few and I mean a few glimpses, we miss brown and palmer.
Rajiv 4- all the tricks but cannot cross a ball and picks the wrong decision 9 times out of 10, can bring the crowd to life and kill it at the same time.

Quaner 4- passenger. Looked laboured all game. Dont think we played to his strengths but I dont know what his strengths are, football may not be one of them, neither is basketball.

Subs- none really got into the game, route one to wells will never work.

Need to be much better on Wednesday. Need a bit of momentum for the playoffs, autos are dead and buried

As I don't get to see many games these days, I'm in no position to pass judgment. But have to say, from commentaries I've listened to, and televised games I've watched, I can't say I'm too impressed with Colin as yet. I keep putting him as a scorer in the prediction league. But only 'cause I doubt anybody else will! Really hope he proves me wrong. Wouldn't be the first time!  Doh

Bad day at the Office. Maybe, just 'appen rescued by the result on the bonny bonny banks of the A4. There's some bollox somewhere else on t'interweb about t'spanish waiter putting pressure on us. Well we are 3rd and would have been delighted with owt in the top 10. 3rd isn't a bonus, it's unbelievable. Pressure ain't on us Senor. OK? Dos botellas de San Miguel, una jarra de Sangría y una botella de Rioja por favor? OK senor Spanish Waiter?

RE: TERRIERS v BREWERS - Lord Snooty - 01-04-2017

Quaner shows some good touches, but he doesn't look like the striker we were hoping for.

Absolutely disgraceful the way the Burton players targeted Dean Whitehead to get him sent off. Both his yellow cards were brought about by their behavior. The first incident was a hard tackle when their soft twat fell over and they made out it was a bad tackle. All crowded round him, making him react and get a yellow card.
The second incident was just two people bumping into each other. Again they all crowded him and he reacted. The ref bought it hook, line and sinker.
If that's how you roll, Nigel  Clough, then I hope you go do it somewhere else. Your dad was a good honest man, admired by the whole footballing world (apart from the FA). You, young Nige, are an arsehole!

RE: TERRIERS v BREWERS - jjamez - 02-04-2017

Targeting whitehead was the right move both before and after the yellow card.

Theres been a few times this season that a right back has been booked and town then refuse to wind him up or run athim and increase the chance of a foul and second booking
