Well it don't come much uglier than that. The Elephant Man set out from the beginning to stop our free flowing football and by the middle of the first half we had stooped to their level of pub team hoof ball. We stuck at our game though and in the end it was a training ground move that worked well for the goal, well stuck away by the brilliant Tommy Smith. Schindler and Hefele were superb at the back. Kodjia looked nowt like the Bristol player who took our defence apart last season. Glad to see him booked for diving, although from our side of the pitch it looked like Crainie had hold of him. Thankfully Roger bloody East wasn't reffing tonight. Good to have Hogg back. My man of the match. |
