As I've said, still trying to confirm it now. I really hope it's just bollocks from the rumour mill, and if it is, then I'll happily remove it and put a retraction up.

Right, I've been through BBC Sportsday and can't see that statement anywhere in their coverage, so for the time being I'm removing it. If it's just shit-stirrers at work then I don't want to spread it further.

Liverpool have not won in the premier league since 31st Aug, their only two wins in that time come against a lesser champions league team and Boro in the league cup 15-14 on penalties hardly top form, I no longer fear Liverpool or man utd for that matter, I believe we are capable of collecting points off them both, I predict 4 points ........ maybe rose tinted glasses but I believe our squad has the quality to deliver. Come on you baggies

RE: Liverpool vs WBA - Match Thread - Salopbaggie - 02-10-2014

Skad what is it he allegedly said?

RE: Liverpool vs WBA - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 02-10-2014

He's alleged to have said that Lambert playing infrequently and not scoring for Liverpool is a step up from Berahino playing and scoring for West Brom, because being a Liverpool player has more "gravitas".

However, I've been asking the person who reported it to substantiate the source all day now, and they haven't. As far as I'm concerned, it's bullshit.

Agree with 4eva - really don't think we should in into these next 2 games with any sort of fear. We've gotta play well, sure, but IMO we're more than capable of getting points from both.
I think Lescott is starting to prove to be an inspired signing and really inspire the team to play up to their potential much more consistently; we've also got a lot of PL experience and plenty of skill in our squad.

5-0 to Liverpool then

Liverpool will eventually click and some team will feel the backlash - just hope it's not us !
That said, Balotelli isn't a Suarez who I think made Liverpool look good. The Sturridge/Stirling combination could become a potent threat if Sturridge plays. But, we've got Big Jo and Dynamic Daws haven't we so, threat negated !

I've watched enough top teams turn their form around against us so I'm not expecting to pick up any points from the next 2 matches. Hope I'm wrong but I'd rather be happily surprised than over-optimistic and disappointed (again)...

I know what you are all saying about Liverpool will find their form soon etc. and I agree to a certain extent but I really fancy us today If we keep pressuring as we have recently. Stop Gerrard you stop Liverpool so c'mon lads close him down at every opportunity.........

I'd get Gardner to follow him everywhere, he won't like it one bit.
SO 2-1 Baggies or a 2-2 Thumb up

Lots of Baggies fancy us to get something out of today's game and why not ? Keep it tight and no mistakes at the back and it could be another happy weekend.
