RE: Johnstones Paint Trophy - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 27-07-2016 Group fixtures have been released. We're in with Gillingham, Luton and Millwall. Strange to consider they're all clubs who our first team used to play regularly not so long ago. First game will be Millwall away at the end of August, then Luton away in October, and Gillingham at home in November. RE: Johnstones Paint Trophy - Lord Snooty - 28-07-2016 Another down point for this crazy system. The matches are due to be played during the international breaks, so the young lads who this crazy idea is meant to be helping will be away playing u21 international matches. ![]() RE: WBA vs Middlesbrough - Match Thread - Beefy 1965 - 30-08-2016 Age of our players in the U-23 squad for the cup game at Millwall !!!!!!! Nick Ames @NickAmes82 Ages of the WBA players in this Under-23 (not that you'd know it from the advertising) side: 21, 16, 18, 19, 18, 17, 18, 18, 19, 16, 17. RE: Johnstones Paint Trophy - 4evaabaggie - 30-08-2016 Not going so well ..... two nil down and bottom of the group. RE: Johnstones Paint Trophy - Arcane Astral Aeons - 30-08-2016 losing 2-0 v Millwall RE: Johnstones Paint Trophy - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 30-08-2016 Seems to be a mixed bag of results as far as U21 sides in general are concerned. Us, Wolves, Swansea, Stoke, Derby, Brighton, Middlesbrough, Blackburn and West Ham all lost, some quite heavily, and not many wins or draws for youth teams, though Norwich did hammer Peterborough. Also, for all the talk of this being "the Premier League stealing a trophy", seems about half the youth sides in this competition are from Championship clubs. Just saying ![]() RE: Johnstones Paint Trophy - themaclad - 30-08-2016 28 year old Frenchman scored for Norwich, funny really I thought they were trying to help English talent RE: Johnstones Paint Trophy - Beefy 1965 - 31-08-2016 (30-08-2016, 23:30)themaclad Wrote: 28 year old Frenchman scored for Norwich, funny really I thought they were trying to help English talent Im confused ![]() Thought it was U-23's for premiership/championship ? 90% of our team were teenagers ![]() RE: Johnstones Paint Trophy - Amelia Chaffinch - 31-08-2016 (30-08-2016, 22:47)Ska Wrote: Seems to be a mixed bag of results as far as U21 sides in general are concerned. We're not in it. ![]() RE: Johnstones Paint Trophy - Salopbaggie - 04-10-2016 Well there we have it for all of those concerned about the Premiership clubs dominating, West Brom knocked out by Luton. |
