Is McGregor out of the semi? He was wrongly named as being booked against Hearts but I thought he was OK? I thought AS was just rotating his squad but still playing the same plan A.
Why he didn't start with Boyle after he was still buzzing I will never know

Again Stubbs showing he has no plan b or c etc. Championship again for us next season as there is no way this side can play 6 positive games in the play offs to go up. Questions are when and how does Stubbs go and what effect have Thomson and Stokes had especially in the dressing room?
I think you'll finish 2nd. It's advantage Falkirk at the moment but you've got 4 home games out of 5 remaining and if can raise your game to get results against us and Falkirk you'll be well set. I expect us to field a weakened side against you and Falkirk aren't firing on all cylinders themselves. If it's Kilmarnock in the playoff I'd fancy the chances of any of the 3 Championship sides involved. Incidentally, are the dates of the playoff games available? I'm sure last season it was awkwardly scheduled so we had more than a week between our 1st round games and then had to play 4 more in quick succession. It's not the only reason we lost the final but we didn't rotate much and our team was knackered by the last game.

I wouldn't back Hibs to beat a drum at the moment. They are dire. The fans can dress it up any way they want, but their recent run of results in the league shows a distinct lack of character in their team.
Any premiership side fighting for their league survival would be favourites to do them over two legs imo.

One of my biggest criticisms of Hibs since start of season is the lack of a real captain/leader. That view has not changed. Gray has never been my idea of an inspiring captain, a driving force, esp in tight matches. Picking n choosing matches is my other scathing criticism and agree with exeter with issues within the dressing room among a reasonably decent group of players!

Not sure their goal was over the line tbh, but that is another shocker of a performance and result. Our inability to take chances remains a big problem.
Stokes and cummings does not work as a partnership,the goalie can't play next week yet still started,boyle certainly merited a start and got stuck on the bench and the manager doesn't like 3-5-2 even though we have played well in that formation.
The next 3 games could turn everything back round again though.

There was scathing criticism on bbc sportsound re the ref handling of the 'no goal' decision - AR signals no goal, ref overrules and gives the wrong decision! Also questions raised re Stubbs judgement again. Fyvie played for 90 mins after being absent for quite a while? Talking to a lad who attended the match, watching Stubbs non-plussed 'cannae be bothered' behaviour in the last quarter of this match has the 'alarm bells ringing'. Serious questions also being asked re McGeouch's injury, farid's injury, not 'blooding in' a goalie before next week's semi-final? The only bit of good news was listening to the radio commentary of United's defeat at home v ICT, it looks like many of their players are 'saving themselves' for Hampden as well but their defence was 'mince' and sounded like you could 'drive a bus through it'.

McGregor's suspension was mentioned on bbc sportsound but I'll check out this doubt re his 1st yellow card v Hearts.

You exude more optimism re Hibs future fortunes than many Hibs fans I know El Car!!
I wish I could share the same positive view of our current situation! Sadly I don't because, like exterhibby, I feel that Stubbs and Hibs first team have lost any kinda momentum that they had and we'll see how a loss to The Wasps, who had not won a single home game this season, could be even more damaging to this team than the sickening loss v Ross County in the league cup final!! I agree with exeterhibby that we are not currently geared for a 6 match play-off assault on promotion. Our strikers have been misfiring for weeks but suddenly 'raised their game' in SC ties v ICT. Then they effectively 'returned back to normal crap striking form' - there's something inherently wrong with that situ and I'm also wondering if there are dressing room probs? IMO last week's injury to El Alagui was a 'stab in the heart' as this recuperating Hibs striker seemed to be one of the few players who energised Hibs attack when he fleetingly appeared up front. From all accounts that I've picked up, Dylan McGeouch's injury is more complicated than first appears - a subsequent op in order??? I hope not because we could be doing with a mid player who 'stands on the baw' and tries to play in a controlled fashion. Even our goalie can't 'keep clean sheets' and in some of our losing games the opposition have only had one shot on goal while Hibs squander 12-15+ scoring chances!! 
The craic at Hibs is that David Gray has been carrying an injury for weeks and is soldiering on under medical supervision. Also Stubbs has to try and protect a good young mid player like John McGinn who clearly tires late on in games and needs to be covered by another decent mid player. The worst news is that Danny Handling's career could possibly be over because of a nasty groin injury and I know all about that kinda injury from experience. He's a young player but at least he might have been an option for the manager to use in certain games. I'll attend the Farkirk match on Tuesday night but I have no great belief that Hibs will win this match under the current circumstances and preceding a SC semi-final where I genuinely believe some players are 'saving themselves' to avoid picking up any injury - being an ex player myself, I never played this way at all and don't believe that a team of players can 'switch on or off' as they choose - IMO a dangerous practise and IMO a dishonest one as well! I'll go to ER Stadium in hope that a Hibs revival materialises on Tuesday night but that's about it!! 
Maybe the Hibs 'tanking', that I've been predicting in previous threads, will happen at last and a huge number of these created scoring chances end up in the Falkirk pokey and give the team, and the Hibs fans, a welcome boost before heading for Hampen on Saturday.

Hibs head coach Alan Stubbs has slammed the performance of both his players and the officials after Michael Duffy’s controversial strike gave Alloa their first home win of the season.
On loan Celtic forward Duffy’s effort just before the break was ruled to have crossed the line after coming down off the underside of Mark Oxley’s cross bar.
Hibs created a series of half chances either side of the interval but failed to prevent a fifth league loss from seven outings.
Stubbs, whose team are now six points adrift of second place Falkirk ahead of Tuesday’s crunch visit of the Bairns, said: “The performance was disappointing. We didn’t play well and we didn’t do the basics, and that’s control and pass it.
“We also seemed really affected by the pitch, we looked uncomfortable with it.
“There is obviously a slight worry, I don’t want to see my team play the way they were today. But I know that football can change very quickly as well.
“It is a good thing to have Tuesday’s game so quickly after this. There are not a lot of things to speak about positively. I’ll be looking for the players to respond.”
Speaking about the goal, which appeared to be given by assistant referee Thomas Shaw and not referee Bobby Madden, Stubbs added: “I’ve seen replays of it and it’s inconclusive, so how he can come to that decision in that short space of time, here’s me talking about another decision and I don’t want to be.
“It’s another decision that’s gone against us. We’ve had a few recently and they’ve led to goals.
“He can’t be guaranteed with the speed of which he hits it and it bounces that he can say it was a goal.”
Alloa manager Jack Ross, whose side had their relegation confirmed last weekend, said: “I didn’t think it had been given just because of the way things have gone for us this season.
“It could have been five yards this side and I couldn’t care. I think we’ve deserved, the players have deserved it and Michael Duffy in particular has deserved it.
“I’m delighted for the players. That’s how we’ve played in the main over in the last three or four months but the little things probably fell for us and that’s the fine margins you need.
“They’re going out this league taking another scalp. Hibs are a huge club full of internationals and with aspirations of winning a major trophy and getting back to the Premiership.”

That appears to contradict the posts on here claiming that the linesman didn't award but the referee overruled and awarded the goal.
