In time you will see the funny side about losing today but it did make me chuckle, you had enough efforts to win three games but that's the way the cookie crumbles, will do a fair report when I've had some food

It would seem we are just one clinical striker away from a decent team. That would clearly over ride the inefficient defence we have at our disposal. Going by what Wagner had to say post match, Chilwell not coming back! Doh

Chris Powell realised he needed to tighten the defence. Unhappily he chose to help the poor defence by getting the midfield to drop back and provide additional cover. This of course resulted in a huge space between midfield and Nakhi Wells and thus few goals. It is NOT necessary for the midfield to drop back to help except for a few minutes here and there when they are struggling. To require it to happen all the time means few goals ... and utter boredom![Image: doh.gif]

Normally the defence should be able to do their job without excessive help. That requires the defenders to be fit, capable of a burst of speed and be in the right positions. Our defenders are frequently found wanting and its up to Waggers to decide quickly who is up to the job and who needs replacing. He has already got midfield up field, but the defence is our achilles heel.
