A strange game, we were excellent for 80 mins, I thought Reading always had a sting in their tail with their forward line and going in HT at 0 -0 after being very dominant again the 2nd half didnt let us down.

Over 9000 gate, an huge improvement on previous Rd 3 pay on the day affairs, so folk are realising the goods on offer are genuine, 500+ away fans a good effort too. We sat in the Kilner and enjoyed being able to switch ends which meant we were level with with Wells penalty, 100% brought down he was rounding the keeper when clipped. Game changer, we score 2-0 game over keeper might have been red carded instead we fell apart for 10 mins, they scored twice, ref missed a pen for Reading and Bunny looked outside the area when caught by a trailing leg - I was screaming at him to run at the defender into the box and it worked a treat.

Wells hammered it down the middle, nothing more than we deserved.

More expense and wangling time off for the replay but looking forward to it and I think we have just as good a chance to progress away from home with this current form.

Town highlights - not sure who this new guy Lewis is in goals though. Tongue

Vaughan showing he can still find Row Z from the penalty spot  Doh

Use your mouse to stop/start the penalty decisions in the Town game. Difficult to decide on the first one for Wells. Probably need half-a-dozen Sky camera views and replays to decide on that one, but the Reading defender is never out of the area for the Bunn penalty, so correct decision all day for me.

I still can't decide if Wells was brought down or dived so for me the ref got it right

RE: Huddersfield v Reading Match Thread - theo_luddite - 10-01-2016

Looked to me like he could have stayed on his feet if he had wanted to.

RE: Huddersfield v Reading Match Thread - WakeyTerrier - 10-01-2016

He definitely could've stayed on his feet, but chose to 'look' for a penalty

RE: Huddersfield v Reading Match Thread - JUSTASILLYOLDGIT - 10-01-2016

Probably should still have been a pen, but agree, Wells has always had a habit of going down rather too easily for my liking. As for the one that's given, paused the play right on contact. Norwood's standing left foot was definitely in the area, whereas the contact leg was just outside area! I'm assuming it will be same ref in replay. Lets hope he has a better day than yesterday!

If after all of you having to watch the replays multiple times and still not being sure, then the ref got it right by not giving it!! Just goes to show what a tough job being a ref is in today's football.

NW looks fairly upright to me having gone past the goaly, confirms my feeling sat level, his arms were allover him, perhaps not a red but a clear pen.

While we're on the subject of pens.........anybody else feel as nervous as I do when Wells is taking it. Just doesn't strike me as a natural. But then again, who else? Doh

RE: Huddersfield v Reading Match Thread - WakeyTerrier - 11-01-2016

My mates were celebrating getting the penalty, I said hang on...we haven't scored yet
